core competency of the company is its accessibility to the wide market. Amazon is said to be
the leading e-commerce business across the world with its variety of services and products
for the satisfaction of all type of customers. This Company has covered the wide market
across the world through its range of services and products to the customers. This
accessibility has allowed the business to adopt the diversification strategy under which it can
offer different variety of products to its customer. The diversification is considered to be the
business level strategy that has supported company in introducing its Kindle Fire product for
targeting the mobile gamers and children. In addition to this, this product has supported
company in targeting the media junkies. The devises offered by Kindle and Nook cannot be
differentiated in terms of hardware specification. Therefore, Amazon differentiated with its
Silk web browser, which enhanced the experience of browsing on a limited device. Besides
this, Kindle has allowed the users to purchase wirelessly new magazines and books
(Sawhney, Owens and Goodman, 2014). This wide market accessibility and diversification
strategy has supported the company in attaining the competitive advantages against its
competitors and will continue to support in the future too.
