Introduction
This report is generated for company SYNERGY. This report discussed about the synergy computer
system, the role of a computer system shows in different environments like medical, education and
health and also discussed the hardware, peripheral and software components of computer system.
The report will also include different types of computer systems.
In another section of the report, I will list the system design specifications for the different target
audience of SYNERGY organization and also the suitability of system design specifications.
In the last section of the report, I will discuss how to keep the system up to date and different task

LO1: Understand the function of computer systems
P1.1- explain the role of computer systems in different environments
Computer systems
In this contemporary world, computers have become an essential basic necessity for humans.
Computers were solely discovered to resolve the problem of manual calculations and mathematical
operations, but with the modernization of technologies, purposes of computer system start
changing. There has been a boundless evolution in computers as compared to the time when
computers were only used to solve mathematical calculation without any human help. With the
immeasurable evolution in computers, there has been a change in its usage from solely purpose to
multiple and multispeed usage. After becoming the most powerful device, it has its widespread
usage in different environments.

Science and technologies
The technology which developed computers had its most of the work reliable on computers now.
There are many ways computers are used in science. Computers have changed the approach which
researchers previously used in order to store boundless data, in order to compile bundles of data
stored in repositories. Computers had made possible, the vision of automation of data while the
researchers, scientist, and engineers can focus on another field. This advancement made it possible,
to have near about precious results with minimum uncertain errors. Computers had made it easy to
analyze the complex data and though at such a speed which humans can never match. The

computer has become the foundation stones for so many latest technologies. Its limitless usage can
be considered from the fact that, now it's being used for predicting surroundings earthquakes,
tsunami and other uncontrolled environmental miss- happenings.
Education
With the rise of computer network roots ion educations, it started apprehended the previously
existing education system. The purpose of bringing computers was to make students aware of the
real world problems in science, mathematics. Computers have made possible the vision of e-learning
which can be viewed as a replacement for classrooms studies. Computers coined the term of distant
education by providing a communication medium for teachers and students to interact. With the
increase in time, old information gets updated; computers help the students to be aware of that.
Computers brought the whole education system on the internet. Computers provide the platform
for limitless educational software without which education system cannot be imagined in today’s
era.

Banking system
Computers have enhanced the banking utilities by increasing banking products and services.
Electronic transactions done by banks are made possible with emerging rise in computer
networking. Direct deposits and withdrawal are functionalities of electronic transmission systems.
The computer made it possible for the customer to access these utilities.

Gaming
Computers have strongly made its presence in this sector. Computers made it possible to have a
virtual experience of games. Computers made it possible to play any real-time games with some
minor amendments in configuration.

Hospitals
Computers have become an important and necessary device for hospital management system. It
can store the enormous amount of data of patients, visitors, doctors, and staff. It helps in monitoring
complete hospital management system and used to records process and have vigilante over all the
technologies which are working.
