INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional skills are important in accomplishing goals and objectives.
These can be understood as an intangible asset that makes an individual to perform work or job
in the most effective and productive way. Such skills work in both individual and professional
life. Personal and professional skills can be meant as how a person express himself in front of
others or how the person interact with others in everyday or workplace life (Bashir, Mahnaz and
Abbas Malik, 2021). These skills could be listening skills, communication skills, motivation,
flexibility, problem-solving, adaptability, conflict resolution skills and many more. The topic
which is covered in this assignment is Conflict. It could easily found in an organisational setting
and most of the times, it is taken as negative thing. These can arise between supervisors, co-
workers as well as subordinates or often between workers and external sources such as suppliers,
customer and regulatory agencies. Thus, managing conflict is critical in an organisation. In this
assignment, there is an explanation on conflict management and coaching techniques exploited
by managers to drive success in the business.
MAIN BODY
Strong conflict management skills are useful and important in most of the positions,
especially in managerial position. Conflicts are virtually not possible to avoid. Conflicts are
generally taken as negative terms, but it can also have positive implications when taken it in a
right way. This is human nature to disagree on some things, and disagreements are healthy when
taken as appropriately. Conflict management or conflict resolution, contains having an
organisation that prevents conflict and a team of management that successfully tackles and
resolves the issues of workplace (Bertrand, 2021). When a manager is having conflict
management skills, the key objective is not avoid conflict but to resolve it effectively. Conflict
management is use by managers to minimise the negative influence of conflict while creating
positive impacts of conflict on the organisation. The key objective behind such management is to
improve the learning and team outcomes, and performance and effectiveness in a workplace
setting. This process of resolving conflicts is used by managers to identify a peaceful solution to
their dispute.
Interpersonal stress and poor communication can easily cause simple disapprovals top
flare up into the worse and resentment. Conflicts that are allowed to sore and grow will finally
