1. Overview
1.1 Project Title
The title of the project is Construction of a Primary School at Legtaifiya, Qatar.
1.2 Project Background
The project funding will be done by the government of Qatar. The base of the project
will be the construction of a primary school in the city of Legtaifiya, Qatar. There are some
kinds of problems that will arise while doing the implementation of the project in real time
basis with the estimated budget. The most beneficial factor will be the estimated budget for
deciding the structure of the school building (Walker). Focusing the issues will be the most
critical part of the project.
The project will focus on the structures of the primary school buildings in the state
(Sears et al.). The participation of different bodies will play a positive impact in the
construction of the project such as the State Board of Education, the local school board, the
building committee, local fire stations, the health officers of the locality and many more.
This project is mainly carried out in order to meet up with the expectations of the
students as well as of their parents who are choosing the school as the place of learning. The
implementation of the project should be helpful in such a way that every stakeholder should
get equal focus for the project (Kerzner and Kerzner).
1.2 The statement of Project Problems & its goals
The statement of the project, which is rooted within the project, is stated because of
the barriers that prevents the construction of the primary school building. The implementation
of the project has various obstacles towards its completion. There should be a certain level of

security or assurance that is to be provided from the top levels of managers in terms of the
project funding.
The goal of the project is stated based on constructing the primary school at Legtaifiya,
Qatar, which will be easily accessible from every part of the city and not highly economical.
Based on the construction it can be expected that the school design and construction will
follow an improved experience of project (Carstens, Richardson and Smith).
1.3 Objectives
The primary objectives of the construction project are:
 To build a good quality school for providing effective learning.
 To carry out the project in a less time by enhancing project management.
 To reduce the barriers in the construction procedure.
1.4 Outcome
The project design will be successfully implemented at the proposed site. Based on
the utilization of the land at the site area, the proposed plan for the design of the primary
school will be carried out. This will help the construction to be accurate and precise.
The design of the learning environment should focus on the points provided below:
 The planning and design procedure should involve all the stakeholders.
 The planning design should focus on the health, security and safety of all the persons
in the building.
 The effective use of all the resources is to be done while planning the project.
 There should be flexibility in the planning structure so as to cope with the changing
needs of the construction process.
