Contemporary hospitalityTask 1 essayDefinition of both manager and a leader Whenever it comes to an organization, the most important sector is the leadership as well as the management of the company. Both these sectors have their importance and working process. To be précised a leader is a person who leads organizes and commands a group. Besides leader as well as leadership is something that needs more explanations. Leaders of any organization, here Toyota Plc, can be regarded as the soul of the organization. Leaders are the person who is mainlyresponsible for the up gradation and degradation of the organization. Leaders can be the owner orthe C.E.O of the company and also can be a fresher employee who leads his or her team. They have many specific works and responsibility (Bass and Riggio, 2006). The main work of a leaderis to control, motivate and support the employees of the organization and to look over the basic needs of the employees. Toyota Plc being one of the most successful and well-renounced company. Naturally, they are able a good and pleasant leadership. The leaders of the mentioned company are responsible for all the success of the company as a whole. In one word the leaders are one of the most important aspects of any organization. On the other hand, the management ofthe organization, here Toyota Plc is another soul aspect of the company. The working process of the manager of any company is someway similar to the leaders of the company, but still the management as well the managers of the company have their value to the company. The main job of the manager id to manage and operate some specific works or a team of employees. The manager is responsible for each and every internal aspect of the company, here Toyota Plc. In allboth the mentioned sectors, leadership and management of any company are equally important for the betterment of the company. Page 3 of 19

Contemporary hospitalityDifference between a manager and a leaderFrom the above passage it is quite clear that the leadership and the management of the company, here Toyota Plc, has many things in similar, but still, there are many differences between leaders and managers of a company. Toyota Plc being a multinational company it has to maintain a pleasant leadership and management. Both the leaders and the managers of the mentioned company work according to their plans and strategy which is obviously beneficial for the company. Their plans and strategies have some specific styles and actions which depend on their planning, organizing controlling and directing their team and organization (Bass and Riggio, 2006). PlanningThe company, here Toyota Plc runs according to the planning of the leaders of that particular company or organization. The leaders are the person who creates the planning and the strategies which will be beneficial for the company. For example, the leaders of Toyota Plc planned the KAIZEN strategy which was one of the most successful strategies for the company. The main purpose of this strategy was to improve the product continuously (Brower and Balch, 2005). On the other hand, the manager's main task is to plan the working process as well as the internal department of the company. Segmentation is one of the most important sectors of a company. And the manager is responsible for this job. They have to make the plan of segmentation and also need to look after the employees if they are doing their jobs correctly or not.
