System Vision Statement
Purpose
The purpose of the system vision statement is to communicate the project rationale and
background to all the resources and the stakeholders so that an understanding on the project is
formed.
Product Overview
The issues of data mishandling, inability to track sales, etc. have cropped up for the company.
The need for an automated sales management software has emerged to automatically record
the details, track sales, generate reports, make calls, and likewise. The system will be
developed for three types of users as call centre member, sales representative, and manager
(Schmitz and Ganesan, 2014).
The functional specifications will be included in the system and there will be increased
attention paid to the non-functional specifications as well.
Rationale
There is a lot of competition in the industries in the present times. It has become necessary
for the business firms to provide innovative services and solutions to the customers to
maintain a competitive edge in the market. Cosies Insulation is also required to reflect the
same in its business processes and the current set of issues in the organization can be
overcome with the deployment of an automated information system (Zampetakis, 2014). The
system will intelligently and accurately manage the information sets and the organization will
be able to engage its customers.
Benefits
The implementation of an automated system in the organization will provide the organization
with technical and competitive edge in the market. It will become possible to manage and
track the sales data and offer the customers with their desired services and products. The
customer loyalty will be earned in return and the company will also be able to attract new
customers. The employees will also succeed in carrying out the streamlined business
operations leading to a positive impact on their engagement levels with the organization
(Sharma, 2007).
