thinking skill among them.
MAIN BODY
Introducing creative arts and media arts in relation to early childhood education setting
In regard to creative arts, it can be said that it refers activities that are being used by teachers for
engaging children in imagination and unique thinking. There are number of ways by which
teachers can increase creativity and innovative skills among children. Some examples of creative
arts that can increase imagination and other thinking of children in early education setting
include: storytelling on the basis of their own experience and own words, drama, visual arts,
music, dance and movements (Fadhilah, Dewi and Winata, 2020). It is believed that creative arts
play a vital role as in an early childhood education setting, it engages children in all important
domains such as: language, social, cognitive, physical and emotional.
In regard to media arts, it can be said that it is an activity in which children crate visual
representation in which they are encouraged to express their own as well as others’ ideas. It helps
them out in knowing their role and contribution to creative industries. In addition, it can be said
that creative and media art can increase critical thinking skills that play a vital role in people’s
personal and professional lives. By increasing this skill in an early childhood, students may find
easier in taking decision and solving problems as well. Media arts teach students better ways of
communicating and creatively using new technologies of visual communication.
In addition, it can be said that creative, visual and media arts encompasses an extensive range of
visual modes that children utilise for expressing, communicating and engaging in aesthetic
exploration. It is also found that visual and creative arts can be shaped by cultural and social
values but along with this, there are number of other teaching ways by which communication,

expression, creativity skills can be improved among children in an early childhood setting. In this
regard, it is stated by Walcot that creative and media arts is all about ways in which children
think as it reflects their inner feelings. Taking out inner feeling in education is vital as it helps
out children in communicating with others and being an active student. It boosts their confidence
(Rahmatullah and et.al., 2020). As it is also known that music, art, drama and acts are better
ways by which children can easily express their feelings and can engage with others. On the
basis of these definitions and meaning, it can be said that creative and media arts in an early
childhood setting fosters mental growth in children because they are being provided an
opportunity to try out new ideas and ways of thinking.
Importance of implementing creative arts and media arts
On the basis of above discussion, it can be said that there are number of advantages that
students as well as tutors can take by promoting creative arts and engaging students in creative
arts. Some benefits of creative and media arts include:
Promote creativity and imagination: Visual and creative arts allow children to enter in an
imagination world and when children enter in this world then they are more likely to think
different and effective ways of doing functions. It increasing their critical thinking capacity.
Developing children’s imagination is vital in an early childhood setting as it shows empathy and
behaviour of children towards others (Dinham, 2019). Visual arts invite experimentation as well
as exploration. In addition, it can be said that this possibility and creativity thinking develop key
disposition of learning such as: collaboration, problem solving and perseverance.
Explore aesthetic and language of art: For some children, visual art is mean to explore colour,
texture and possibilities of visual media. Tutors and researchers have discussed on the
importance of these skills and opportunities that children can take to conceptualise their own art
making in group context. This creativity and ability of presentation makes them able to immerse
themselves in aesthetic exploration.
Offer emotional support: There are number of children for whom art making is the best and
preliminary means of expressing their views, feelings and experience. So, on the basis of this it
can be said that media and creative art for such introvert children can impact their emotional
well-being and can allow them to transition into a new centre environment. It has also been seen

happy (Martin and et.al., 2018). So, on the basis of this, it can be said that it is type of stress
buster for children. By having an easier access to art making, children can start their day in an
effective manner and creative skills that they learn from art making, can be used in other aspects
of learning.
Improve fine motor skills and hand eye coordination: By engaging in crafts and art related
activities, tutors can increase concentration power of students. When students are being asked to
do paint, art and dance then they are more likely to focus on rhythm and particular things that
increase their concentration level. This can help out children during later primary school years
when they form letters and space out words. On the basis of this, it can be said that this can
improve motor skills of students as it can strengthen muscles and improve their control.
Current pedagogies and teaching practices in implementing creative arts and media arts in early
childhood settings
Early childhood services are considered as the ideal settings for early visual arts which
requires engagement through play based curriculum. With the help of visual arts and materials,
the procedures help in order to enhance the opportunities for making communication most
effectual, and enhance play based learning. However, it acts as a visual art continue to be
curriculum area lacking clarity regarding best practices into early childhood education and care.
The art is an activity which highly fosters innovation and creativity, engage and promote
problem solving behaviour, adaptation and transfer of information as well as knowledge along
with skills are the basic fundamentals into early childhood (Al Hashimi and et.al., 2019). Due to
certain benefits, the educators introduce children's into art and also support them to see
themselves as inherently creative person within their personal life.
The art is an activity or pedagogy which support cognitive procedures in which children
are extensively engaged into the arts and act as collaborators, constructors of their own
environment, Art based teaching and learning strategies led by tutor in order to engage children
and students into both art as well as non art content through a procedure rather than provide
oriented experiences. The art can be seen as an additional method of knowing, innovating and
thinking that encompasses effective ways of being. With this the children are able to create
emotional connection that arises with the help of fascination and take wonderful experiences
which has been gathered at the time of engaging into natural world. It is also an appropriate way

to reach towards the heart of the children's who are not engaged into the activities because the
key elements of the art activity are applicable to all the areas of sensory experience. One of the
most significant pedagogical approaches is the facilitation approach which is highly closed to the
interactive one. It includes the generation of favourable conditions which implies in order to
create good environment. The most optimal in order to resolve educational issues experienced by
the children within the classroom sessions (Hardiman and et.al., 2019). Another approach is the
curriculum approach according to which it has been evaluated that the children's interests are
actively planned by tutors to work upon. Moreover, with the help of constructivist approach
according to which the children's are allowed to become co-constructors of the experiences in a
way that allowed for emerging content to develop into action. Thus, after postmodernism art was
promoted as social reconstruction and viewed as another way to transform society by
encouraging diversity in art curriculum to the children's.
Thoughts about current implementation of creative art and media arts in early childhood learning
The creative art is a procedure which emphasizes over the process and teaching children
into the world in which they are progressively more and more productive in nature. It also driven
that the method by which one will arrive at the final destination is more essential than itself the
final outcome. The implementation of creative arts and media arts are highly beneficial in early
childhood learning. It is a great strategy and practice that are going to be performed by various
institutions in order to promote learning capabilities among children's (Cebrián, Junyent and
Mulà, 2020). There are numerous benefits of introducing this particular technique involves
expansion of the learning area into physical, emotional as well as mental well-being. It enhances
the gross as well as fine motor skills among children from very initial stage of their learnings.
For instance, when a child utilizes and grip brush for painting, the student is highly engaged into
advancing their fine motor skills. Moreover, the creative art also provide an outlet for young
children in order to explore as well as gain control over their emotional quotient.
As per varied researches, it has been evaluated that creative arts assist in fostering the
development of children's cognitive abilities. Generally it is the mistake which is generally done
by every parent that they do not focus towards the art activities but it is basically should be the
primal program for children as it enhances the imagination power of children from their early
childhood. With the help of this, they are becoming more flexible and inventive thinkers and

easily able to adopt adverse conditions as well along with tries their maximum to look forward
for better solutions on their own.
The future of this activity is highly bright as it promotes self-esteem, enhances mood,
improve cognitive function, social life along with the ways to take things into consideration. It
also promotes creativity among children which automatically provide various opportunities to
express personal feelings and thinking ability (Koh and Kan, 2020). Furthermore, the creative art
activity can also be further improved with the help of providing tasks as per the child level and
quit projects that are boring to be fulfilled by children's. Hence, in overall context it acts as a way
which enhances the confidence, perseverance, focus as well as enhancement in collaborative
learning among young learners.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been summarized that it is highly significant and imperative
to use art work into integration as it enables the teachers to put greater chances for young
children's in order to engage themselves into creative things. With the involvement and art
practices, they are appropriately able to explore sizes, shapes as well as colours which enhances
their way of learning things. With this the kids are more prone to compare and evaluate objects,
comparing them with other objects as well as strengthening early mathematical abilities. The
primary goal of creative art engagement refers to engaging students into creative thinking and
expressing their feelings over the paper in the form of art. The goal is to express feelings and
thoughts through movements as well as visual perception.
