CURRENT TRENDS IN TOURISMTourism can be defined as practice of travelling to various geographical regions aroundthe world for pleasure. It can also be referred as the business of attracting more tourists byproviding them proper accommodation and proper plan to entertain themselves. This exposuremay be national or international. Tourism is considered as vast business as everyone wants this.The individuals who wants to interact more with the culture of other people, the way they liveand specially the food and environment with whom are attracted. This is possible only when theregional people where individuals go for their exposure behave fairly with them. Tourism hasgreat impact on the economy of any country. So, to foster the same, one should follow the trendswhich are really helpful to attract the tourists. Government of London also continuously madewide use new and latest technology in travel and tourism sector and increasing competitionwithin industry also force them to raise the utilization of networking, also the intelligent databasefor the purpose of marketing and promotion of their products and services. There were 19millions people have visited to London in year 2016, and provided revenue of 11.9 billionswhich is 53% of inbound visitors in tourism sector. The tourism has suffered a lot from theearlier recession and thus has affected the economy of country to a great extent especially if wetalk about India. But today, it has been recovered. Major development has been considered whenthe council of English tourism was and authority of British tourist was being merged with eachotherTo get to the trends which will drive the tourism industry in the latter half of 20th century,one must know today's scenario. At this time, the tourOperator suggests the places which are less crowded and less expensive and hence helps to keepthe local people also satiated. Also, the culinary tourism has increased. Therefore, they reallywant to go at that particular place and enjoy visiting local stores. One can plan entire holidayaround food according to the cuisine they like. For foodie travellers, JAPAN is becoming thebest destination this time. Some people want to have a good understanding of a particular placeand hence want to get there.In order to sustain in, competition, for example, marathon, climbing, singing, dancing ora master chef contest which are organising at different places drive the people to travel thoseplaces. This is an important trend which is driving tourism industry today. Nowadays,professional business stay is also becoming popular which is concept of mixing the business withleisure for more effective working (Richards, 2014). Tourism operators play vital role in this.
