This paper examines the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of leading supermarkets in Australia, identifying any gaps and quantifiable outcomes related to their achievements with CSR activities. The literature review section examines the theories and models of CSR, critical analysis of CSR activities of leading supermarkets in Australia, the importance of CSR on leading supermarkets, and literature gaps. The research design and methodology section outlines the qualitative, exploratory design, data collection through face-to-face semi-structured interviews and secondary data from sustainability reports and corporate websites, and data analysis through NVIVO software and CAT. The study aims to identify the present corporate social responsibilities of target leading supermarkets in Australia, identify the underlying issues associated with these leading supermarkets, and establish the impact of CSR activities on the supermarkets and the society in general.
