Situation 2:
Problem Discovery:
Considering the case situation two, it is found that there is a huge communication gap
between the Project Manager, and the Director of the Information services of the organization.
Firstly, none of them has any cultural competency among them and secondly, they do not have
respect for each other’s culture.
Causes behind the Problems:
A number of factors had contributed to the problem. First, both of them belong form two
different cultural background, therefore, there is a differnece3 in the cultural orientation between
both the individuals.
Secondly, since both of them are holding a good position within the organization,
therefore, none of them are likely to keep out their ego, and cooperate each other, with each
other’s requirements.
Thirdly, it is seen form the case study that both of them are behaving in a very in
cooperative manner with each other, and thus is firstly because of the cultural gap between them,
and secondly it is because the positional gap between them. They have a different cultural
attitude altogether and none of them are respectable towards each other’s positions and each
other’s cultural aspect. More importantly, Mr. Parekh being an Indian, may have a different
impact upon Beecher.

Cultural Competencies:
Therefore, the stakeholders of the organizations must focus on the cultural competencies
like the, cultural attitude, and must practice within the organization cultural openness. This is
essential, because if the workplace of the organization is culturally sound and open, then the
employees of the same will behave in the same way. Also, the stakeholders of the organization
must also include the aspects of the language difference within the organization (Garran, &
Werkmeister Rozas, 2013).
Recommendation:
The Neptune Multi- physics organization must be more culturally sound, and it sis the
role of the administration and the stakeholders of the organization to decide upon this. The
organization therefore must include the followings immediately in order to redress the situations.
Firstly, during the meeting between Parekh and Beecher, there must be present, a third
person, who can be either of the organizational stakeholder. It is the role of the stakeholder to
supervise the entire conversation between the two members and therefore, acknowledge the
cultural gap between them (Boroughs et al., 2016).
Also, the organization must essentially practice diversity within the workplace, and must
express itself to be a diversified organization and project themselves in the market in the same
way, as this will help the people to develop a particular perception of the work culture of the
organization.
