Introduction In the present report I am going to discuss about the ideas of that is every student is willing to get after completion of their academic courses. Ideal job is something that is related with the overall key requirements of a job that a person is willing to perform in future that is associated with their job roles and responsibilities(Nouf-Latif, Bertilsdotter-Rosqvist and Markström, 2019). In present report there will be discussion about the ideal job that I am willing to pursue in future and description of the help of a job description and a person specification that can help in define the criteria that is required to demonstrate the overall skills that a person according to the present skills so that skill that can be identified. There are three major sources that can be identified when a person is seeking employment and are related with overall advantages and disadvantages as every source is having some of the benefits but again it has some demerits associated with it. So detail evaluation is made of all search sources to understand the search sources in identifying the ideal job by individual. My ideal job My ideal job is to work as a marketing manager in very renowned organisation. The major reason why I am so interested in this profile is because I possess high influential communication skills and I am always willing to meet new people and communicate with them so that I can know about them and this can help me in performing my job responsibilities in a more effective manner(Zhou and Hu, 2019). I have always been fascinated by approach that is objective based and goal based and for a marketing manager this approach is very helpful in understanding and meeting the overall targets that have been assigned by the higher authorities. Another most important reason because of which I am willing to start my job help of this marketing profile is that marketing is a field that is offering quite large number of opportunities in coming future and it can help in Planning my overall strategies of my future plan regarding my career in a more positive and effective manner. With the changing times organisations will need more competent marketing managers who can help them in achievement of high sales because at the end it is all about increasing sales revenue so that high profitability can be achieved by a particular organisation with the help of their customers. I have always wished to get associated with a renowned organisation that can help me a decent remuneration according to the contribution that I am making towards their organisation. For this I have always wished to work with big retail organisation such as Tesco that is one of the biggest retailers in United Kingdom and this has been a major reason why I am willing to work as a marketing manager for this organisation. I believe that Tesco can provide me the exact exposure for which I am looking right now and can give me correct direction to work according to my present level of knowledge and skills that I process. The retail sector has been growing very fast inthedynamicenvironmentandbecauseofmanychangestakingplaceintheMacro environment this sector has not been affected much in a negative manner as they have already established themselves and are able to deal with all the uncertainty and risk that are being flourishing in the external market(Cohen, Sauermann and Stephan, 2018). So, I feel that I can help Tesco in achievement of high says that is most important requirement in the present context for any retail organisation by working as a marketing manager in the marketing department and this is my ideal job role for coming future of time. Job description: Job description is basically a document that helps in determining the exact roles and responsibilities that is compulsory required to be present in an individual in order to perform a particular job that has been assigned to them in an organisation. There are many graduate employment opportunities in future but in the field of marketing I feel that there are tremendous growth opportunities that can help in achievement of high productivity by an individual. The job description of marketing manager is always different as there is not a particular responsibility but it involves a combination that consists of different rules and activities together that combine the job responsibilities of marketing manager(Rohr, 2016). Such as, in initial stages the responsibility is to make Strategies and plans relating to promotion of products and services of organisation. Such plans have to be according to the preferences of target base of customers that is being targeted by the company. 5
Thinking about the future that is aperiod of 4 yearsafter I will be completing my graduation I can only make forecast and plants according to the present economic growth that is taking place in United Kingdom and that is that the sectors that is going to grow very fast is most importantly the retail sectors as the purchasing power of people is increasing and this has led to increase in growth opportunities in the sectors. The changes that are taking place in theeconomic environmentand with specially many reforms such as brexit has affected the industries of UK up to a great extent and it has lead to decline in lot of opportunities in other sectors apart from the retail sector. So according to me presently I feel that for future role and present role the most important opportunity is in the marketing sector that can help in individual as well as organisational growing simultaneously at the same time. Person specification: Person specification is basically a blueprint that is consisting of selection and recruitment process it is drafted very carefully as 10 must be according to the vision of a candidate suitable for a person, person specification is statement that consists of characteristics and different qualifications of employees that has to be performed according to the person task in a more satisfactory manner derived from the overall analysis of a person and is a very important tool used in case of selection and recruitment process in every organisation. A person specification is used for describing the overall personal attributes that a result in a potential employer it is sometimes very similar to person description but is more specific (Specification, 2016). There are certain specific attributes such as skills knowledge experience qualification and some personal attributes that are compulsorily required in a candidate for performing certain person duties. The specifications are derived from overall person description and are foundation for the process of recruitment. Person specification is very helpful for all the Potential implications in understanding overall requirements of a person and then self selecting. For the post of a marketing manager,major responsibility of marketing managersis to build up a strategic relationships with their existing customer base and all other associated stakeholder such as Agencies and different vendors who can help in associated with long term and providing 6
cost-effectiveness and a high percentage of profit in overall sales revenue that is been generated by organisation. Thecontemporary marketing managermust have all the skills that are required to make people persuade buying a product and services these are some of the necessary skills along with communication and convincing skills that have to be compulsorily present in a individual to be a marketing manager. I strongly feel that in case of future marketing managers must require a very strong analytical perspective and strong knowledge base that can help them in increasing the advertising of products on different social media and online platform that have completely transform the way marketing managers used to perform their person roles. Further the capability is related with leadership skills and digital prospective of Thinking are some of the ideal requirements that I feel possessed by me coming according to my assigned duties of marketing managers in case of for which I will be working for and this will help me in reducing the skill gaps that is standardized & required in the person profile of ma marketing manager and I posses as a competent individual(Ressia, 2016). Resources that can help me when seeking employment There are some of the important resources available both on offline and online platform that can help me in utilization of my present competence and according to it I can identify different suitable person opportunity these most important three crucial sources are discussed below: 1) LinkedIn: It is one of the largest networks that has grown on case of e-commerce platforms and used for professionals and made by professionals. It is basically a platform where opinions can be exchanged for building up of strengthening relationships with all the professional people who are related with interested profile of a particular individual. It helps in providing individual to create their own profile in relation with the qualities competence skills knowledge and other qualification that they possess. According to that for the person opportunities and interested requirements are also mentioned in this profile. It helps in various organizations, human resource managers and employer’s world looking for such individuals can approach according to skill requirements of a particular person profile that is mentioned on LinkedIn. 7
