Description of the child
Zifa is a 4 year 9 months old child from Melbourne, Australia and attends an Early
Learning Centre. Zifa lives with her Mother, Father and a sister who is two years old.
Nature- wise Zifa is determined, stubborn and feisty and also, she is loving,
inquisitive and funny. She is independent but her main problem lies in the fact she
cannot handle change and loves a routine in her life.
She likes imaginative play and loves to dance and draw.
Comments on the Data
The information collected so far says that Zifa is also aloof from the current and loves to live
in the fictional globe. Her educators help her adjust to modifications in the daily assignment
and require her with colleagues to interact and participate in community exercise. Zifa can't
alter aand departure from her routine and gets angry if something like that occurs.
Thus, to help her adjust to the scenario her kindergarten educators involved her in role-
playing like' office-playing.' Zifa required her teachers ' assistance, but soon she interacted
with other peers But it is also seen that Zifa has a communication issue, which the teacher
has to tackle. She doesn't know a few phrases or orders like' kneel,' which she interpreted
as' needle.' Such issues need to be resolved in particular, or else this can also generate
miscommunication among peers and Zifa.
Zifa, therefore, must be involved in the development of complicated strategies and
involvement in various operations. She should be given more opportunities in role-playing
that she is acquainted with, like family positions. Small group storytelling, puppet events will
assist her to communicate and understand.
