CE 2.2 Project Background
CE 2.2.1 Characteristics of the project
This project is related with the designing of the plant related to the Eau de Coco. Eau de
Coco is one of the largest coconut processing plants in the world and the main purpose of using
the Coconut plant is to design the best possible infrastructure for providing the coconut water
and the coconut flesh of best quality in Philippines. For this purpose of making the best quality
coconut extract this company has created a large industry which requires a lot of electronics and
electrical machineries for several needs like food processing, extracting the coconut fleshes and
also to design the instruments throughout the plant. I have designed many electronics units and
the other system for the industry. I have designed the voice and data analysis system, the fire and
alarm system and the cctv system for the main industry of Eau de Coco.

CE 2.2.2 Objectives developed for the project
This project is designed in order to fulfil the following objectives which are given in
details.
 To create the design of the plant for the company Eau de Coco.
 To provide several outlines for the processing units of the plant.
 To design several electronics devices for the functioning of the plant like the
alarm system, voice and data recognition system and the cctv camera for the main
project.
 To verify the designing of the system as an electronics engineer.
 To create the whole system keeping the scope for maintaining the devices and the
instruments.
 To increase the response of the system and also to increase the accuracy of the
processes of the system.
CE 2.2.3 My area of work
As an electronics engineer I was assigned for the post of designing several electronics
and electrical devices for the project. There were several devices and processing units in the
industry of the Eau de Coco and the main advantage of using the system is to provide the best
quality coconut extract for the system and the main advantage of using the electronics devices
was to increase the advancement of the industry in terms of automation and accuracy. I have
designed the main electronics units which were very important for the plant and those are the
cctv, voice and data recognition system and also the fire alarm system.

CE 2.2.4 Project Group
I have done this project as the electronics engineer and was assigned for several
designing of the electronics devices. I was assigned for the task under the supervision of the
project manager. The project manager also helped me a lot in understanding the projects and the
main concern and the aim of this project was to create a best possible and suitable plant for Eau
de Coco. I had also some other engineering co workers with me in this project who have helped
me a lot during the project. I am also thankful to those co workers for assisting me in the main
function and to also make the whole design for the system.
CE 2.2.5 My responsibilities throughout the project
In this project I was mainly responsible for the designing of the safety devices and also
some important functional devices of the plant like the cctv, voice and data recognition system
and the fire alarm system. I have also the responsibility for making the system more advanced in
terms of making the system more advanced in terms of security. It is also my responsibility for
the proper execution of the system.

CE 2.3.1 Comprehending the theory of the project
In this project of designing the plant for the Eua de Coco I have mainly designed the data
and voice analysis system, cctv and the fire alarm system. These systems are designed on the
basis of the automation and the sensors. Sensors are those devices which are used for measuring
several physical quantities and to convert those physical quantities to the required signal. The
advantage of using several sensors and transducers were that it makes the system more

automated in terms of making it more suitable in terms of automation and fast response. I have
also used the concept related to the digital electronics for the designing of the data and voice
recognition system. To make these devices the data and the voice information are taken in a
digital field that can make the system more advanced for increasing the data processing in a more
efficient way.
CE 2.3.2 Engineering knowledge and skills applied in the project
During this project I have used knowledge regarding the electronics and the
telecommunication engineering. I have also used many concepts regarding the automation and
the main advancement of the sensors and transducers which were used during this project. I have
also used the ideas which can be implemented in terms of making the system for the faster
response and the basis functionality of the whole system. During this project I have also used my
communication skills to connect with the project manager and the stakeholders who were

I have applied my concepts of electronics and communication engineering during the
designing of the projects. I have also designed the main functional devices which increases the
security and the efficiency of the main system. I have also made the system which will
proactively make the main system more efficient I terms of automatic response and faster
response. The main advantage of making the system automated I is that it can provide a much
more productivity within a fewer time duration. I have also taken an important role in
communicating with the project manager and the stakeholder’s related to the plant. The labours
and the other engineers are also worked on the basis of the plan which I have created during the
making of the project. I have also created the circuit diagram and the calculations regarding the

making of the circuits and the devices. Several sensors were also used in terms of making the
system. For making the cctv the optical concepts and the use of the cameras are also
implemented in this project. In the fire recognition system the sensors are implemented in several
departments.
CE 2.3.4 Identified issues and their solutions
2.3.4.1 Issues
In this project the main issue related to the system is that the sensors which are used for
making the system automated have different parameters like the sensitivity and the response
speed. Due to the lack of proper specifications the sensors have sometimes malfunctioning in the
system.
In case of making the fire alarming system the Sprinkler are not always turned on
automatically due to the distance from the main place of the fire.
2.3.4.2 Solutions
To overcome this problem I have also introduced the main issues related to the sensitivity
of the sensors proper choosing of the sensors are important from the point of view of making the
system more advanced in terms of security and automated response.
The fire alarming system is used for making the system more advanced in terms of
security. To overcome the issue related to the security of the system the range and the network
used in the fire alarming system should be more efficient.

CE 2.4.1 Project Overview
In this project I have designed the cctv, sound and data analysis system and the outline of
the project from the automation point of view. The Eau de Coco is one of the largest
organisations which is famous for producing and extracting the coconut water a and flesh in the
Philippines. The main concept related to the system was to increase the efficiency of the system
by increasing the tools based on automatic response. This is also used for increasing the security
and the efficiency of the plant. The response of the plant has been also become faster due to the
application of the technologies based on the automation.
