DESIGNING HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEMS USING JAVA ME FOR MOBILE PHONE2
1. Project scope
The project is based on the implementation of Home Automation Systems
(HAS) with the help of Java ME based for mobile devices. The project have been
initiated by Vodafone Group, Australia. The HAS would mainly be designed for the
purpose of designing home applications that would be controlled with the help of
smartphones. The systems that would be controlled with the help of smartphones
includes electric light bulbs, fans, switches and many others. The project, which is
being developed by Vodafone Group helps in implementing the protection of
electric resources and lowering the consumption of power at homes.
The project would be developed with a dedicated networking team who would
be responsible for proposing of ideas and building reliable home automation
solutions. The communication that would be created between the HAS and mobile
phone would be based on a Bluetooth supported technology. The entire project
would be considered to scalable and economically feasible. It would also allow many
appliances to be controlled with minimal form of efforts. The HAS would also be
highly protected with passwords and would be controlled by authorized users in
order to control the various appliances within home.
