Instructions for assessor
This assessment task requires the student to review the team project, documented in Assessment
Task 1 (plan) and implemented in Assessment Task 2 (implementation and progress review). In
addition to your role as assessor, you must also act as the student’s supervisor in this project.
Assessment 3a – Presentation
Students are required to prepare and conduct a presentation to management (the assessor).
Students explain the review information (planned to be contained in the written report) and
evaluate their team’s contribution. The student is required to report on any issues or problems the
team has encountered, including conflict. The student will be asked to explain how they resolved
these issues. Students are required to present feedback collected from their team on their
effectiveness as a leader and a brief reflection on their success as a team leader.
Assessment 3b – Report
The student is also required to prepare a written post-project review report which includes team
effectiveness surveys and reflections of the student on their success as a team leader. The report
also must demonstrate knowledge of principles and techniques of group leadership and
management. Students are also required to hold a post-project review meeting in which they
celebrate successes, identify opportunities for improvement, and then disband.
Students should understand that the content of their projects does not need to include highly
technical information or completely accurate budgets or cost estimates. Learners are not expected
to provide highly specific details regarding fields they lack experience in. Sufficient research on the
project should be encouraged to facilitate understanding of team objectives and tasks.

Lessons learned
It was extremely important to incorporate better methods to spread
awareness about all the programs, which could include advertisement on
radio and television which was not followed and distribution of brochures
and leaflets were only done to achieve the goal. In addition to this, more
number of lady professionals should have been concerned with the
interactive sessions so that the women of the community could participate
with ease as the community was extremely conservative in nature.

Yes, at times there were some ups and downs and trivial conflicts within the
team but the team lead made sure that the cooperative spirit of the team is
kept alive and motivated the entire team with his personal experience as a
member of a team.
Meeting environment
Were the meetings well run and effective? Did you have opportunities to raise issues
and concerns?
Yes, the meetings were extremely well structured and comprised of three
sessions, the first included a quick reflection of the minutes of the past
meeting held followed by a the present grievances and every employee had
an opportunity to bring forward his/her concern and the third session
outlined the upcoming strategies that would be undertaken.

Would you recommend your team leader for other projects? Why?
Yes, I am extremely fortunate enough to work with an amiable and hard-
working team lead. Throughout the entire project I have been able to stay in
close association with him and learnt a lot both in terms of practical as well
as theoretical knowledge. Also, the team leader is extremely diligent and
motivates all his employees to put in all the hard work and recognises
people who serve the company.
