Assessment description
Following on from Assessment Task 2, you are required to evaluate a
number of short-listed professional development programs, develop a
schedule based on one of the options, collect feedback, negotiate with a
team member on future development opportunities, and submit a report
on the professional development of the team member.
Submit this document with any required evidence attached. See procedure
below for instructions on how to complete the assessment, and
specifications below for any further details.

AHTS learn under resources.
Review the training strategy you developed in Assessment 2 (Part3)
Read the scenario below
After collecting the self-evaluation form and discussing professional
development needs at a meeting with Gino, you have both agreed that
you and the team require him to upgrade his time management skills.
You have been advised by Seamus (and made Gino aware) that the
organisation requires all issues to be addressed by the end of this quarter
(eight weeks only). Four weeks from now, a review of progress – to
monitor the progress of the development program and the extent of any
additional development support, if needed – will be conducted by Gino
and yourself.
Gino has supplied you with a short-list of three courses that he believes
will address his learning needs and assist him to manage the current
workload he has mounting up. You will find these in the resource listed
below. He is happy for you to decide which of the three programs he will
attend.
1. What Training Option did you choose for Gino and why?
Gino is one of the consistent employees in the organization regarding the sales
as he is having best sales record within the sales team. Though Gino is one of
the effective employees in the organization, he suffers from some major backlog.
Thus, Gino needs to improve these areas of him to become more efficient for the
team. The management skills Gino must be improved in this case. Here, Gino
has also assessed his current problem and he has prepared a short list of three
courses which he believes that it will be addressing the learning needs of him. In
this way Gino will be able to manage the current workload of him. Considering
the problems faced by Gino, option 3 of training for Gino has been selected in
this case. The option 1 has been rejected as training will last for only two half
days where Gino might be requiring more time. Also, in this case Gino needs to
visit the closest capital city where the fees of the courses are also higher. Thus
option 1 is rejected. The option 2 is also rejected as these materials will be
delivered over the internet where Gino needs an active tutor who will be
teaching him. An instructor is required for Gino as he is very much fond of taking
notes but after that he never goes through those notes. Thus, getting only the
online notes will create the same situation. For Gino, best option is the option 3

as in this case a workplace mentor will be provided. Also, in the reasonable cost
a special training programs will be provided in this case. Another advantage of
this course is that it will be provided as long Gino requires it. Thus option 3
course is selected for Gino.

In this aspect the main aim of this program is making Gino more efficient for the
organization so that Gino can utilize his full potential for the organization. To
