INTRODUCTIONHuman resource department is the most important aspect in every large or small companybecause they control and manage all activities and manpower at workplace. They haveresponsibility to hire the most effective and suitable candidates for the firm so that they can helpto achieve higher growth and success in competitive market place (Zepeda, 2012). It isimportant for the HR manager to develop skills and knowledge of all employees so that they canexperience both personal as well as professional development. Present project report is based onTESCO which is the largest organisation in United Kingdom. Analysis of personal skills will bedone in this scenario and after that, professional development plan will be created whichhighlights the advantages of high performance working in the company. Apart from this, variousperformance management approaches are explained in this report. TASKP1. Various KSB (knowledge, skills and behaviour) required by the HR professionalsTo gain high competitive advantages and growth, it is important that human resourcedepartment performs their roles and responsibilities in a proper manner. They perform differenttypes of roles and duties such as recruitment, selection, training, providing salary, managingmanpower and many more (Van Driel and Berry, 2012). It is not necessary that all HRprofessionals have same kind of knowledge and skills as in organisation, there are differentsituations occur which require distinct skills or abilities. Following are the behaviour, knowledgeand skills of HR professionals:Maintain knowledge at workplace: Every firm has different culture, policies and normswhich should be followed by all the members of organisation in a proper way. This will help incontrolling or managing all operational functions in the most effective way and increase abilitiesof each and every employee so that they can help in achieving the targets set in stipulated timeperiod. Help in continuous performance development: CPD assists an individual for getting jobprofile where they can manage all their work activities easily and also achieve desired goals ofthe organisation. This process will help TESCO to satisfy needs and wants of employees in aproper way. 1
