INTRODUCTION
Human resource managers are the crucial part of an organisation who are responsible to
manage all work force within organisation in an efficient manner (Armstrong, 2016). In the
current report DCS group is taken into consideration that is as distributor of health and beauty
products within UK. The current report comprises a detailed portfolio that demonstrates various
skills, knowledge and attributes required by HR professionals to perform their role in an
effective manner. In addition, it includes a personal SWOT analysis, PDP plan for further
improvement and a reflective statement based on the given scenario.

P1) Skills, knowledge and behaviour required by HR professional within company
There are several skills, knowledge and attribute are required to present in HR managers
in order to perform their roles and responsibilities in better manner. These skills, capabilities are
given as under:
Communication Skills: It is a crucial skill for human resource managers as they are
required to interact with several internal as well as external parties on regular basis thus it is
essential to have better communication skills (Ritzman, 2016). It refers to a process to exchange
information between different individuals within organisation. In context of DCS group, it is
crucial for HR managers to have better communication skills so that they will be able to interact
with others in an efficient manner.
Decision making skills: Decision making skill is refers to take right decision within
predefined period of time. HR managers are required to take several decisions on regular basis
for the betterment of whole company. In context of DCS group, it is essential for managers to
have better decision making skill in order to manage human resources at work place effectively.
Problem solving: There are several constraints faced by an HR manager while
performing HR functions within company. For this, they are required to analyse the whole
situation in better manner and then take appropriate decision accordingly. Here, managers of
DCS group are responsible to solve numerous constraints, problems that arise at work place. It is
vital to maintain a positive environment within company where people can grow and prosper.
