INTRODUCTION
The organisation is having many employees that will help them in improving the
performance. The human resource department is the most important department of the
organisation that will help them in selecting the employees to give the products. The employees
should focus on developing the skills, knowledge and behaviour that is helping the organisation
in increasing performance. The individual and team performance is important for the
organisation and they are helping them in giving the products (Caldeira and Timmins, 2017) The
human resource department in the organisation is helping the employees in individual and team
development. The chosen organisation of the report is Bentley which was founded in 1919 in
UK. Bentley is the organisation which is in manufacturing of luxury cars and they are having
high prices. The report includes professional knowledge, skills and behaviours, personal skills
audit and professional development plan, differences between organisational and individual
learning, training and development, the need for continuous learning and professional
development to drive sustainable business performance, HPW contributes to employee
engagement and different approaches to performance management.
TASK 1
P1 Determine appropriate and professional knowledge, skills and behaviours required by HR
professionals
The human resource department of the organisation is having skills and knowledge that
will help them in increasing the performance. It will help the organisation in selecting the
employees according to the skills. The organisation should have the skills that are helping the
employees in working according to the customers (Staniškienė and Stankevičiūtė, 2018). The
organisation should introduce the proposition for employment and they should have qualified
employees who want to apply. Human Resource Management is the process of selecting,
recruiting, analysing and getting the best fit for the organisation and incorporated methods to
help them understanding the needs of the organisation and employees working in the
organisation.
The HR department of the business firm should be well aware of respective operational
activities being conducted in the business firm. It helps in enhancing productivity of various
efforts being produced by various staffs working in an organisation and promotes effective

growth of the company. Developing professionalism in HR department of the firm helps in
attainment of respective operations tasks of an organisation, ensuring better goodwill of the
company in given marketplace. Various skills, behaviours and knowledge which are required for
HR professionals are as follows:
Communication skills: This skill forms an important skill that needs to be mastered by
various HR professionals working different organisations. If in an organisation there is effective
communication between various departments, it will enhance overall profitability of concerned
business firm and develops effectiveness of business firm which helps in grabbing future goals
and objectives of the workforce (Kryscynski and et. al., 2018). In context to selected
organisation, managers and leaders of the firm hires human resource professionals in the firm,
keeping in mind their effective communicational skills.
Decision making skills: Another skill which is required by human resource professional
working in an organisation, should have effective decision making skills. It helps company to
develop effective plans and strategies for conducting its operational activities and also provides
access to react on any changes occurred in respective business environment of the business firm.
(Azevedo and Shane, 2019) With regards to chosen organisation, human resource professionals
ensure effectiveness in operations of firm by taking quick and quality decisions regarding
various business activities of an organisation.
Innovation: As it is very well known that, innovation being a part of operational
activities of the firm is an essential element which ensures better growth of the workforce. With
light to the fact that various business policies and plans are operated in uncertain and dynamic
business environment, innovating in various operational activities comes in handy for increasing
productivity of various firms. In relation to selected workforce, by innovating various operational
activity helps in better development of firm and develops potential skill in an organisation to
fight with its competitors.
