Introduction
This report supports in assessing the practices of management behavior. Keeping the Employees
happy with their roles and keeping them satisfied is one of the most important roles of the
business organizations in today’s world so that the employees can work on the highest
productivity level of theirs. A manager can also help employees by motivating them. One of the
main jobs of the manager is to bring out the best of every employee by motivating each one of
them. Keeping this in mind, the current study will focus on two organizations that are Hospitality
and Tourism. Hotels are taken into the study for the analysis. The skills of a potential manager
are provided in this with all the required information. This report is going to include various
characteristics of leadership and styles of management. Including this, the research is focused on
the development of managers personally as well as the career that managers will get in the
management field.

1.1 Compare different management styles
The two organization chosen are PKF hotelexperts and Hilton. There are many management
styles and some of them are mentioned below:

Leadership is behavioral characteristic, which enables a person into a motivated life. It is the
ability to lead people and make them grow their abilities. The characteristics of leadership can be

Leadership’s results can be of two types:
1. Positive Results: In this case results are positive, mean the leader has positive thoughts
and attitude for his people as well as make decisions for the sake of the community
rather than for personal benefits.
2. Negative Results: In this case, the leader just misuses his power to govern the people.
He takes decisions for his personal benefits and has a negative attitude. He never listens
to his team while making decisions. Examples of the negative leadership’s results are

1.3 Evaluate communication processes in selected businesses
A communication process is basically a chain or the network formed at the time of
communication from senior management to the employees. In short, communication is just like
sending a message by sender then receiver receives it and then feedback is sent back to the
sender.

organizational culture reflects sociology of an organization. When there is change occur
in an organization it is hectic for the employee that is organizational culture. The value
and assumptions that are shared within the organization is organizational culture. It helps
employees to go in right way to do things.
There are various changes in Frenky & Benny’s which are listed below –
Internal change – Internal changes can be done by the organization as they have
total rights on it. Internal changes involving Human resources, decision making

The most crucial task for a chief is to set up needs which need to achieve by me. Besides, for
that, I have affected a once-over of targets which I to need to accomplish in imminent days. Such
as-
Deadline – It is fundamental for me to accomplish every one of the due dates with the
goal that I can build the profitability of the association and furthermore build up the
inspirational mentality of the client for the brand. Achieve this I have prepared deadline
for upcoming one year so that I can complete my all pending works.
Research – One more target is to do investigate work through which I am ready to build

Motivation is the key approach to a person’s behavior. Motivation can lead to a person’s
performance in direction. It can be either positive or negative. A positive motivated environment
leads to completion of goals while negative leads to worsen the organization's profile. For
successful achievement of goals, the team should be motivated by their leader. And it’s the prime
task of the leader to motivate his team in the positive direction. If the leader motivates the team
in the negative direction, then team spirit will be lost and not even a single task will complete on
time. There are certain ways to motivate a team to deliver best outcomes which are as follows:
1. Setting up objectives:
A leader should set up some measures or can say goals to his team. By doing this each
and every teammate can able to set up a target in order to achieve that target. And for a
leader, it is quite easy to motivate each person separately by helping them in achieving
their objectives.
2. Appreciation:
By appreciating even a really small task of the employee can literally motivate him to
perform better to achieve his targets.
3. Providing Tools:
Providing appropriate technologies and tools to the employees can result in best
outcomes as the working environment is motivating in doing so.

Various decisions had to be taken from my side to make the functional and operational process
more effective in nature so that I can guide and govern the retardant. Below are the important
decisions that I have to make for managing the services as well as the products of Frankie &
Benny's restaurant to attain certain goals.
Strategic planning-
All managerial decisions are taken into consideration to achieve the goal of the organization. For
achieving more goals and activities for the organization I have to work on active listening in the
result of it I can get help from the team members and superior management team. the time when
reviewing statics of Frankie & Benny's which is brand of the restaurant group Plc. It has found
that customers are the main part of the organization. And for making good outputs they need to
include employees in the process of decision making. So, that the employees can be motivated
and they feel involved in a company in result high-quality food and good services can be
provided to the customer so that they can feel more satisfied. I can get my goals in the different
ways as well just by taking all the records of the employees and by tracking their records.
On the other hand, there must be a tracker to track the performance of employees and this system
can be made by using various factors of performance such as – deadlines, client meetings,
reward points, successfully completing the tasks. Those are some of the parameters that can help
Frankie & Benny's restaurant in goal achievement.
Relationship building
For completion of tasks in an efficient way, many things are important and interrelated like
maintaining the services or the staff and management relationship. Communication is also
important between staff and the organization for better performance of the firm. I have some
ideas like conducting team meetings and planning a get together for the team so that I can
understand their behavior and the team can also understand the value of working in the team. If
the deserved respect and the support are provided to the staff and other subordinates of the Hotel

then it may manage to bring out the desired result. In addition to this, the other factors like the
collaboration between the staff members of the team also influence the performance of the
restaurant.
Recommendations
To focus on the needs of the customer and train the staff as required if the enhancement is
desired in management tactics and meeting the other targets of the organization. The
organization lacks the control and entrusting the authority to the correct person. The manager
needs to identify and collect real-time data from their staff as well as the customer to analyze the
setbacks and work on that to make the planning accordingly to get a solution for this issue as
soon as possible. An MIS (Management information system) can be developed and should be
applied to firm's organizational and technical factors. This will make the top management of the
firm to participate in the development and enhancement of the managers and organization as
well.

managerial skills. outcomes which may be occurred when anyone adopting these qualities are

Personal skills
Communication- Communication skills are handy when I am dealing with travel and
tourism organization as I have to communicate with local and many international
travelers as well. As a result of the self-evaluation done by me, I came to a conclusion
that I have good communications skills verbally and non-verbally which will help me in
interacting with many people from different cultures and different parts of the world
which are diverse in culture as well as language and religion. The Communication skills
can play a vital role in maintaining the position and build the relationship between
employees at the workstation. Communications skills can also help to enhance the
professional and personal development. I have been learning different languages also that
will come into use while communicating with the people of diverse languages
internationally.
Development and growth– The person who is benefitted by the growth personally and
enhanced skills. This is a fact that development and achievement provide inner
satisfaction into the individual's brain with the gross in salary and promotion from the
stage.
Learning Outcomes – Learning provides clearance to the person they can find out their
caliber and potential to complete any task and also to face the different situation in an

making power in an individual. By using this skill they person can complete the

the team, developing a team and better motivational skills and that forms a better leader.
Having the quality of being a leader always helps to develop organization as well as it

maximizing returns. Efforts made by the person to enhance the efficiency and
productivity of the company. In result product quality of the organization increases.

4.2 Career and personal development needs, current performance and future needs to
produce the development plan
Being a manager, it is important for me to know my achievement criteria's and performance
quality so that I can go through the required development. By developing the plan for the
increase in quality I am able to know what is my personal need whether they are current or
future. By reviewing my current performance I can achieve short-term goals as well as I can
improve my performance my analyzing present performance. I can enhance my efficiency and
effectiveness for doing any work. In addition, there is the report that where I am doing less and
what are my weak points provided by my superior (Hallinger, 2013). By this, they can guide me
how can I improve my performance and develop my tracking and including all factors which I
can improve.
As I lack in confidence in speaking in public and lack of confidence. A development plan is
created by me personally which is assigned by the supervisor. To overcome all the lacks I have

whether it is travel and tourism or the hospitality organization in the direction of success with his
managerial skills and other competencies. The managers are required to make some easy or some

of leadership and make every decision in favor of the growth of the organization. The decisions
