INTRODUCTION
The manager plays an important role in the development and growth of the organization. the
manager takes many responsibilities for enhancing the profit and productivity of the
organization. The manager manages all the business activities of the business. The manager
should make effective strategies for achieving the desired targets of the company. A manager is
a person who guides the subordinates for motivating and encouraging them towards their
work. A person who is dedicated towards his work can become a successful manager
(Hollenbeck, et al. 2018). A manager must be supportive of their employees.
The assignment demonstrates the importance of a manager in the growth of the organization.
There are different management styles which are followed by the manager in order to enhance
the productivity and profit of the organization. The different management styles will be helpful
for conducting all the business activities effectively and smoothly. This report will also discuss
the different leadership styles which are helpful in managing the business activities effectively.
This assignment will be discussing the PKF hotel experts which are a leading travel and tourism
company of UK (Dixon, 2017). The manager of PKF hotel expert is using different strategies for

1.1 COMPARE DIFFERENT MANAGEMENT STYLES
There are various management styles which can adapt by a manager for enhancing the growth
of the organization. The manager of PKF hotel experts uses different management styles for
attaining the business goals. The company wanted to compete with the leading and popular
hotels like the Hilton hotel (Bolden, 2016). They need an effective and attractive strategy to
compete with other tourism companies the different management styles are really beneficial
for managing all the business activities smoothly. The different management styles are
described as under:
CLASSICAL MANAGEMENT THEORY
Classical management theory focuses on increasing the profit and productivity of the
organization. It follows the traditional methods of management. This theory involves some
factors such as the division of work, authority, discipline, the unity of command, the unity of
direction and equity (Van Hoorn, et al. 2014). According to this theory, the management should
provide a positive working environment for the employees.
MODERN MANAGEMENT THEORY
According to the management theory, the manager is responsible to make good relationship

leader gets a chance to prove their self. The participative style enhances the confidence and
motivation of employees.

must have excellent communication skills for dealing with the employees. Effective
communication is helpful in developing the healthy relationship with the employees. A manager

POSITIVE ATTITUDE

HONESTY
