INTRODUCTION
Developing of professional practices is with the help of analysing, understanding,
practising and also reflecting the range of ways in a profession. This project will help in
recognizing the nature of work for being an HR professional. In this project an HR professional's
role and contribution towards organization is explained. With the help some examples this
project will explain two techniques of project management for HR. This project will explain
problem solving techniques of HR with the help of some examples. This project explains the
impacts of the conflict on the work of HR and the reasons for their cause. With three examples
this project will explain how conflicts can be resolved. In this project examples will be provided
to show how range of methods where used to influence other with persuasion and negotiation.

Role and contribution of HR professional
Few roles and contribution of an HR professional are,
Managing employee engagement:
This role of the HR includes conducting frequent surveys for gathering feedback about
the health and happiness of an employee in the work place. Employee engagement is the direct
link between the leadership and employees in the organization. Example- The HR management
of the company Tesco for better engagement with their numerous amount of employees followed
these steps, Less barrier in participation, collecting feedback, making and overview team,
investing significantly and also engaging with employees in two-way communication (Brookes,
2019).
Promotion of continuous learning :
This role of the HR professional show how the HR encourages constant up-gradation of
the work place in their training and development of skills (Akshay and George, 2017). These
changes can be through technology, process and even customers. Example- Sainsbury in 2014

launched a facility in London which provided training to its local teams in convenience stores for
improving the continuous learning.
Diversity :
In this role HR professional has to achieve diverse objective about having a work place
which is full of talented individuals irrespective of there race, gender or skill set. Example of
diversity has been seen in companies like Netflix and Spotify which have increase the maternity
leaves to 52 weeks for their female employees and also paternity leaves where increase of male
employees to a certain extent showing diversity.
Coaching Mindset :
The mindset of coaching is very essential for HR professionals as it focuses on keeping
the employees happy, health and focused towards their jobs by the methods of teaching,
demonstrating and acting as a mentor. Example – Cadbury created factories in village where the
company took staff from the people of village itself by coaching them for the job and keeping
good work atmosphere the company was successful in gaining loyalty and dedication from the
employees (Rajesh, Kumar and Kovvali, 2017).
Talent management :
The role of HR professionals is to benefit the company by hiring talented individuals and
also to keep an eye on the employee which have to potential of development. Example of this
was seen in Aviva a UK based company which has deployed talent management system in 25
countries for developing talent of over 60000 persons.
Project management techniques
Project management is a process in which the team is leaded by HR for achieving the
goals to meet specific criteria in a give time. Main motive of the project management is to
achieve the goals specified in a given project (Werr and Walgenbach, 2019). HR role is project
management is very significant in which the process including planning, estimating and
necessary resources of the project. The project management has some methods which is followed
by HR. These techniques are as follows,
Providing project team development:
The focus of HR in this technique is to give the employees certain skills for becoming
effective members of the team. For the development of team skills which are utilized are problem
solving , building to consensus, communicating and also decision-making. HR should provide
