Executive Summary
I have been associated with an insurance company as a Senior Manager however, at current is
in look out for a role integrating strategic management practices, which has driven me
registering with a recruitment agency who have provided an informational packet, including
some tasks for completing thus, giving base to my eventual application to potential employers
who will be reviewing my background.
The paper is divided into five sections. Requisite skills in strategic management, theories of
leadership and management, and factors contributing to achievement of organizational vision
are discussed in the first section. The second focuses on designing personal developments
plan. The third focuses communicating the organizations vision while the fourth analyses the
aim of review and source of information needed to assess progress in PDP, and analyzing
progress of own development plan is included finally.
The paper will be detailing the factors impacting organizational vision, theories of leadership
and management, personal leadership skills audit, and personal development planning. It is
recommended that in future interventions anticipation of challenges is included.

Introduction
Background
Currently I work as a senior manager in AXA Cooperative Insurance Company KSA, but
recently have preferred moving to an organization focusing more on strategic management.
Recruitment agency Harris Hall has requested me for writing this paper for sharpening my
skills and knowledge on strategic leadership.
Aims &Objectives
Topics on organizational vision, skill development plans and skills in strategic leadership are
covered in this paper for assuring fair preparation for interviews.
Scope
The paper is divided into five parts covering different concepts. Requisite skills in strategic
management, theories of leadership and management, and factors contributing to
achievement of organizational vision are discussed in the first section while second focuses
on designing personal developments plan. The third focuses communicating the organizations

Required to Support the Creation and Achievement of Organizational
Vision and Strategy
Mentioned below are the knowledge and skills:
Strategic Thinking Skills
For supporting development and attainment of organizational vision and approach, the most
important expertise in leadership perhaps is the ability of thinking strategically. According to
Kee, Islam, Said, and Sumardi (2017), good strategic thinking should be evidence based,
which means adept in gathering and analyzing information from a variety of resources. It is
not entirely about numbers, but also about being aware and comprehended about the market
and customers to use this information for supporting the strategic decisions.
Planning and Delivery Skills
Being organized in person and motivated as a leader although is important, being capable of
planning and deliver for the company as the case may be even more important. According to
El Khouly and AbdElDayem (2017), sans a plan of turning an idea or vision into reality even
the world’s best vision is of no good. Hence, organizing and planning actions go together
with strategic thinking since both are critical in development and attainment of organizational
intuition and approach.
Communication Skills
Undoubtedly being an effective communicator is to top leadership and tactical administration
attribute. The capability of describing vision and strategy, relating it to the employees
contributes in uniting everyone’s efforts. More precisely, for achieving the vision and
strategy, employees needs to be in-line and on-board with the strategic objectives and goals.
