INTRODUCTION
Leadership can be referred to as the potential of the individual to influence and motivate
the person to work towards the accomplishment of goals. It is the ability of the individual to
bring out the best in the person and to make the subordinates work with dedication for the
company(Baron and Markman, 2018). The individual who conducts the activity of leadership is
the leader who helps the employees in their work and the leader are have the traits of good
communication, risk taker, empathy, good influencing which is very important for every
organisation. Leadership is important in every organisation as it helps to communicate the
policies and the plans to the subordinates and they provide the employees appropriate guidance
which will be useful in their work. They help in developing good working environment inside
the organisation and promotes coordination which will be useful for the company to achieve
success.
MAIN BODY
Leadership styles
Leadership styles are the types of the leaders which are required according to the
requirements of the company. The different leadership style have been mentioned below-
Authoritarian leadership- They are the most confident types of leaders who wants that
the employees must work according to them (Sinanagić, Čivić and Muratović, 2019) .
They does not give any flexibility to the employees to share their ideas and whatever they
discuss is their final decision.
Participative leadership- Such kinds of leadership are the most effective and many
companies develop such kind of leaders in their organisation. These leaders involve the
team members in the decisions making which encourages the employee motivation and
the development of unique ideas. Example- Unilever plc
Delegative leadership- This includes the delegating of responsibility to the team
members and is helpful when the employees working in the organisation are competent
and can meet with the challenges easily(Rashid and Khan, 2018). Innovation and
creativity can be developed easily but this can lead to difficulty in adopting the required
changes.
