INTRODUCTION Digital business are those business which use technology in their organisation to create value and experience for customer. It helps to transform business and allow use of technology to enhance interaction between employees and customer. For this project, selected technology is Robotic process automation. Robotic process automation is based on software robots or artificial intelligence which helps in automation in process of business. This project report include importance of robotic process automation and their development. It also include technology used in organisation, platform and software used in organisation, use of this technology in business as tool. MAIN BODY Importance of Robotic Process Automation Robotic process automation is a technology based on software which helps a business to bring automation in their operation(Asatiani and Penttinen, 2016)and is important in various ways which are as follows: Reduce cost:Automation in task of business helps to save cost of organisation and result in increased productivity of organisation(Fredriksson and Reuterwall, 2019). It reduce cost of a employees in business and is less cost in a company. Better customer experience:Robotic process automation in organisation reduce feed for valuable resources which helps them in enhancing experience of customer with limited cost. It helps organisation in defining success of their customer. Lower operation risk:Robotic process automation include make business process automatic which helps to eliminate business with human error. As human error included in business process are tiredness, lack of skills and knowledge which make operation process more riskier. ImprovedInternalprocess:TechnologylikeRoboticprocessautomationhelps companies in clear defining governance procedure which is better in compare to artificial intelligence. It provide various benefit which are as follows: Enhance cycle time:Completion of a task performed by human worker takes more times in compare to robotic process automation. It is used in health care industry for appointment, data entry of patient list, billing, maintaining records etc. In retail business, it is used for maintaining order of customer, sending notification to customers and shipping product along with tracking shipment process. It is also used in telecommunication industry as it helps in updating customer data, monitoring data dan management of fraud data. It is also used in banking industry for maintaining data accuracy and security of data. In insurance industry, it is used for work process and data entry with its application. In manufacturing industry, it is used to help in process of supply chain including billing, administration, data migration. Walmart, AT&T, Vanguard, Deutsche bank, Ernst and young are some of company whichareusingRoboticprocessautomationtechniques.Theyareusingroboticprocess automation techniques which helps them in answering employees and getting information from documents of audit. Some airline business use this technology for cancelling and issuing refunds for tickets. This technology also helps to provide training to employees and making organisation more advance. This work is related to finance department of company and can affect functionality of business. This process is challenging as employees of finance department need to manually transfer data from different source. Payroll:Robotic process automation helps in making payroll in organisation as payroll is task done through human resource manager of organisation and require time as it is manual task (Draghiciu, Burca and Galasel, 2017). This task require efforts in data entry and is based on certain rules. RPA helps in verifying consistency of employee data, maintaining accuracy of tie records, benchmarking for hiring and termination of employees. It complete task like payroll with more accuracy and efficiency. Discussion of nature of relation between digital business and theory of business management Digital business include use of technology in organisation which helps in enhancing value of business that helps in reducing cost of business(Liu, Wang and Liu, 2019). This theory is focused on improved working condition of employees including break time, lighting which helps in improving performance of employees. This theory understand complex human behaviour and influence various factors. This theory helps in increasing engagement of employees and improve employee retention with improved productivity. Advantage of this theory in organisation are as follows: Greater engagement:This theory helps in increase employee engagement by making feel them valued. It helps employee to invest their efforts in work of organisation. RPA helps in increasing engagement of employee in productive work and save efforts of employee in other work. This technology helps organisation in reducing human error as it is more emphasis on automatic process rather than human efforts. 5
Improved productivity:This theory helps in increasing productivity of organisation whichalso increasecommitmentof employeestowards organisation(While, Marvin and Kovacic, 2021). Robotic process automation technique also helps in this work as they helps employees in avoiding repetitive work and make them focused on more productive efforts. Improvise retention:This theory make all efforts to increase employee retention in organisation as hiring new employees is costly affair for organisation(Wei and Ren,2018). RPA also save cost and efforts of employee and also make their working easier. Using this type of technology is simple which make employee more satisfied and improve their retention in organisation. CONCLUSION From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that digital business refers to thoseprocesswhichhelpsanorganisationtoincreasevalueandproductivityoftheir organisation. These technology provide organisation with competitive advantage and increase theirprofitlevelbyincreasingdemandoftheirproduct.Roboticprocessautomationis technology which reduce human efforts in organisation and increase automation in business. This technology is used in every type of business as it help in reducing cost of organisation and increase quality of work. It also helps to reduce cycle time of operation of business and reduce human error in work which might create problem for business.There are different software which use this technology including blue Prism, inflectra rapise, Ui Path. This technology is used in different industries include health care, retail industries, telecommunication, insurance etc. It is used in business as tool in making pay roll, ERP, invoice processing.
