INTRODUCTION
Digital marketing is considered a modern approach in the field of marketing which is helpful
in increasing sales of a product in a short span of time. Most of the businesses in the era of stiff
competition are switching from traditional methods of marketing to digital marketing in order to
get competitive advantage (Arkhipova, 2018). This report includes a brief explanation of
marketing and digital marketing along with necessary elements. This report also includes social
media marketing and examples of two effective social media content in field of social media
marketing. The main aim of this report is to evaluate different marketing methods in order to
facilitate a business for its marketing operations. In this report example of Pepsi is considered for
better understanding different aspects of marketing. Pepsi is a multinational beverage company
which was established in the year 1965 and is headquartered in New York, United states.

A brief explanation of marketing
Marketing is an essential function of every business which is majorly related to art of
selling products at the marketplace. In the era of stiff competition between different companies
marketing is a major business function which helps in providing a competitive advantage. In the
functioning of Pepsi marketing is considered as most crucial activity which is majorly dedicated
to provide effective product selling solutions to a business. Marketing uses different tools and
techniques in order to understand consumer behaviour and performs different strategies to
facilitate different functions of the business (Giunta, 2020). Marketing takes support of several
functions and operations for selling a product at the marketplace. Pepsi has hired a professional
marketing department and staff in order to increase revenue and productivity of the business.
A brief description of marketing mix and aspects of communication mix
Marketing mix
Marketing mix play a major role in the development of every business at the marketplace. It
consists of four major elements which are essential in the development of a business. The
marketing mix of Pepsi is explained below:

Price- Price is referred to the exact value of a product which is produced by the company
to sell it at the marketplace. Price plays a major role in deciding the involvement of
customers into the product. It is essential for Pepsi to keep price reasonable for various
soft drinks in order to attract large number of customers.
Product- Product is the final commodity which is produced by a company in order to sell
it at the marketplace. It is essential for a business to maintain precise quality in its
products to develop all the major activities and generate revenue at the marketplace.
Promotion- Promotion play an important role in the business development as it is very
much essential for a business to perform effective promotion of its products. Promotion is
a technique which is performed by a business in order to gain attention of different
customers. Advertisements are generally effective source of promotion in order to seek
attention of different customers.
Place- It is the geographical location which is selected for selling different products of
the company at marketplace. Place is chosen by a business in order to sell products and
services to the customers in a precise manner.
Communication mix
Marketing communication mix plays a major role by increasing the contact of a business
with its customers in a precise manner. With the help of communication mix it is easy for a
business to develop sharing of crucial information in order to provide effective knowledge to
customers (Kannan, 2017). In marketing communication mix includes different channels which
are essential in maintaining business relations with the customers. Pepsi has hired professional
marketing management in order to get competitive advantage by implementing application of
communication mix.
Understanding the digital marketing
After the introduction of information and technology in business world most of business
organisations in world are taking support of digital marketing. Digital marketing is known as
modern marketing technique which uses internet for conducting different marketing operations
(Key, 2017). It is essential for a business to include digital marketing in its operations in order to
perform accurate operations and also save time.
