INTRODUCTION
Leadership refers to capability or ability of a person as well as group of people who
influence behaviour of and direct its members of an organisation towards common objectives. In
context with leadership, leaders indulge in making effective and sound decisions, cultivating as
well as implement clear vision, setting standard goals and also motivates followers with
sufficient knowledge and tools so that they put their fine efforts to accomplish same. On
contrary, Management refers to process of administrating and managing group of people in order
to accomplish standard mission goals and objectives. In other words, it comprises of set of
activities and tasks carried out in order to attain goals through continuous performing these
functions namely planning, organizing, leading, controlling. Main aim of management is to bring
coordination and integration between departments as well as resources effectively and
efficiently.

A positive response can be used in such situation in order to encourage team member
initiative and its involvement in activities. Leader can make use of participative leadership style
where team members can express their thoughts and ideas openly as well as participate in
decision making process. Leader must listen to member's suggestion in order to improve working
condition at workplace as it motivates them and encourages team spirit. Leader can take positive
action over suggestion and create plan to implement same. As a result, it will increase
productivity level of employees and cultivate a healthy as well as cordial environment at
workplace.

An attitude of team members towards continuous change and improvement is sometime
reluctant as they resit to adapt new policies and techniques. In such case, management of an
organisation require to show interpersonal and communication skills so that managers can
effectively interact with its team and make them understand about benefits associated with
change and improvement decisions. Further, management require to cultivate a flexible
organisational structure as well as build a positive culture within organisation so that employees
feel less pressurize and bring an adaptive nature in them.

Management can organise various motivational activities to encourage team members to
take initiative and provide valuable suggestion in decision making. Also, leaders requires to
build an environment where everyone take their responsibility regarding continuous
improvement. Manager can make use of reward base program, performance appraisal strategy so
that it will motivate employees to involve operational activities and encourage them to put best
efforts to attain benefits and rewards. Also, leaders require to bring transparency at workplace
and disclose all relevant information in front of team members this will in turn generate loyalty
and trust between them.

In order to consider continuous improvement to be an important aspect in employees and
teams work life leaders and managers can implement effective mentoring and coaching strategies
which enables them to enhance their skills and abilities on regular basis. Management can plan
out and organises various activities and fun tasks such as simulation activity, role play, in-basket
corporate games that are useful in improving knowledge and experience of workforce by
performing their day to day job role. Moreover, managers can establish challenging tasks and
objectives for employees so that it motivates them to put their high calibre and potential.

There are number of key resources that can be undertaken by leader in order to help with
mentoring and coaching such as mentor guides and handouts as well as mentor training
resources. These guide provide an overview of basic skills and concepts that can be useful in
contributing effective mentoring relationship. It provide toolkit which includes ready to use
activities, checklists , background information in order to provide support to followers. These
resources suggest that how to incorporate in cordial physical activity into a mentor-mentee
relationship. Handbooks contains reviews concept, skills and activities through which mentor
can enhance and support mentee's career and life success which focuses on social emotional
growth.

There are various leaning styles that required to be consider by management in order to
organise learning programs for employees. Management required to understand nature of these

styles so that they can adopt suitable one. There are seven learning styles such as Visual, Aural,
Verbal, Physical, logical, social, solitary. Each style impact differently over behaviour of
employees. Along with styles there are four types of learners such as Visual learners, Auditory
Learner, Reading/Writing Learners and kinesthetic Learners. So it is necessary for management
to have proper knowledge related to these types according to which they can associate a suitable
style for particular type of learner.

Effective Mentoring and coaching strategies encourages team members to adapt
organisational changes and improvement as it enhance their productivity and inner skills which
in turn improve their core competencies. Mentoring helps in resolving those issues which are
facing by employees at workplace which make them responsible towards and accountable for
their work. Moreover, it cultivate favourable change in behaviour of employees as they
undertake small variation in process positively. It motivates them to take initiative and express
their ideas and thoughts openly in front of leaders.

Management can monitor and evaluate effects of implemented change over functions and
operations of organisation as well as behaviour of employees and teams. Leaders and managers
required to take regular feedback from its workforce regarding change policies and decisions so
that they can easily asses whether change is helpful for organisation or not. It they identify any
deviation or negative affect of change then they take corrective measures to rectify same and
ensures long term sustainability of effective change plan. Also, leaders require to control and
monitor moves of employees and team so that they can be directed towards common goals.

Management can ensure effectively that continuous improvement processes and policies
are communicated and implemented to each team through interact with team members regarding
why these changes and improvements are so important as well as required. As it provide them
clear picture related to objective, they demonstrate how these processes supports company
strategies, confirms expected benefits and also shows employees that top leaders care regarding
how change will impact them. In addition to this, managers must motivate and drive attention of
employees towards change decisions so that they take ownership to behave accordingly and
