How and why Human resource is essential in retail 2Title: How and why human resource is essential in retailAbout the dissertation and Importance of the dissertation This dissertation has been conducted on the topic “How and why the human resource is essential in retail”. Human resource is an important element for every organization. Operations of the organizations are being carried out by the human resource of the organization (Lahoti, 2014). Any organization operating in the retail industry needs to develop a strong human resource base for the execution of the operations of the company (Indiaretailing Bureau, 2014). The chances of growth or success of the organization operatingin the retail industry are dependent on the HR department of the organization. Human resource ensures that the operations are performed as per the plans and the targets set by the organization are attained (Reddy & Chandra, 2011). Support from the human resource of the organization is required for the implementations of the plans formulated by the organization such as expansion, change in the organizational structure or change in the level of operation of the organization (Vedamani, 2009). This dissertation will develop the knowledge of the human resource and its role in shaping the performance of the retail organization. This dissertation will focus on discussing how and why the human resource is important in retail so as to enhance the knowledge regarding the topic of the dissertation.
