INTRODUCTION
The hospitality industry is wide group of an organisation that offers different types of
services to customers. It is concentrated on the requirement of clients and according to that
provide services with specific experience. This industry is unique it relies so heavily on
discretionary income and free time (Richards, 2018). The hospitality industry consist of three
specific areas such as accommodations, food & beverage and travel & tourism. In
accommodation sector consist of hotels, motels, bed and breakfast and other lodging business. In
this report selected topic of Accommodation where selected three market like five star hotel,
motel & lodge. Along with define characteristics of each market in particular sector and identify
three issues that faced by organisations in Accommodation sector. Additionally, conduct
research about selected industry at global and local level to recognise three areas and define three
mega trends effects on hospitality industry.
MAIN BODY
1. Identify and describe three markets and discuss value/opportunity that each represents to
accommodation
Hotels in all of the main centres acquired strong room rate growth in the year 2017,
particularly different areas of affected to supply like Auckland and Queenstown. Hotels in
particular region like central park and Wellington, were able to create strong achievement in both
ADR as well as occupancy. There are identified three particular market of accommodation with
characteristics such as:
Five star hotel: It is a hotel or restaurant that has the highest rate and get good rank in
the listed hotels. When people go outside so prefer to stay in well established hotel and provide
effective services like swimming pool, restaurants, bars, gym, spa and more. As per Auckland,
27 February 2016, an international tourism increase in new Zealand and reach on record level
where largest hotel of five star The Langham Auckland at 77-83 Symonds street, has come onto
the market for sale in one of Auckland's strongest real estate opportunities in years. The main
characteristics of these hotels that a are providing all services under a roof where guest feel like
heaven. They feel like stay in home and getting all the facilities.

Motel: A motel is a hotel designed for causative and generally has a parking area for
motor vehicles. This a place where people stay overnight with plenitude of parking and easy
access to a highway. Many motels feature rooms with separate entrances that face a large parking
lot. It is look like hotel but not provide all facilities to customer. In present time increasing
middle family who can not afford five star hotel so they prefer to live in motel which is provide
opportunity to entrepreneur to generate money from middle class family and provide them good
facilities to stay here (Tracey, Murphy & Horton-Tognazzini, 2016).
