EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDIES1
Part One:
Some significant elements have drawn my attention towards Block two, and
especially some photographs have been attached to it, which have certain aspects related to
children learning environment. In part one, I have taken references from the three chapters in
Block two, chapters 13, 14 and 15 respectively. Thus, it has helped me to gain more
understanding and knowledge of the desired subject. Numerous pictures describe various
aspects in the chapters, and that created an inspiration within me and have managed to
construct a picture of some critical importance. Children should learn their studies but they
are required to learn through playful activities. It will teach them sharing, caring, and fun at
the same time. Therefore, worldly activities, primarily through playful manner, will enhance
their individual learning skills. Therefore, let us consider my chosen picture, through which I
tried to provide relevant information on the learning materials, natural resources and toys.
In the below picture, children will be able to choose among such learning materials
and can engage themselves in the indoor environment (Figure no. 1). It will help them to
learn about various activities and will help them to understand all the necessities that can help
develop their knowledge and sports activities. In this way, they can enhance their
imagination, ideas and thoughts. I have chosen this picture to describe and discuss the correct
indoor environment and educators need to focus on some critical details such as no sharp
objects, necessary learning materials, colorful toys, alphabets and so on. Artifacts and toys
encourage the children to engage themselves in playful activities as well as to learn about
color combinations and different objects. Children are required to feel comfortable in their
learning atmosphere (Parry and McLachlan 2020). It will help in developing a cultural
background. In this way, it benefited me to construct my own picture and contributed to me

build my ideas and thoughts appropriately. Children can easily find their favorite objects and
educators will be able to guide through various activities.
Figure no. 1:- The Indoor environment: Shapes, Space, and Measure.
There has been a significant difference that helped me to separate my ideas with my
other peer group. The picture named Baby room learning environment (Annie) has drawn
more attention to occupying more objects and has given no attention towards engaging a
spacious room for the children. In the next picture, named as Learning Environment (Bella)
has provided enough space but lacked in engaging the children with more colorful objects,
toys, artifacts, more animated pictures and so on. A decorative room filled with toys will
allow them to stimulate more ideas and thoughts in their individual learning processes. Yet in
another picture named Homecorner (Jesie), the image displays the most popular spot for
learning environment space in an individual’s home. The picture has shown various aspects
such as natural materials and some cleaning stuff so that they can achieve knowledge about
the materials regularly found in their house. It has been showcased as the favorite place of the

kids, who always tends to play in this area. Thus, space is quite less compared to other
pictures and may require a larger area to engage them in any playful activities. There have
been fewer toys available in the picture, just fruits and household stuff have been shown in
the picture.
Therefore, as per my research is concerned, all the pictures were highly focused on
the activities in which children could utilize their time and acquire their knowledge from the
processes of learning activities. These three pictures have been created a significant
difference with my picture. They have showcased the learning environment is required to be
more spacious for all the children and the settings should consist of more natural materials. It
will help them to learn various activities more quickly with available physical space. It will
benefit them in order to stimulate the extraordinary talents that will help them to flourish their
individual knowledge. Children do need available resources in their learning environment and
it will benefit them in increasing their positivity towards activities and learning new things
related to study materials. Hence in the first picture, the Baby room learning environment
(Annie) lacks enough room for the children but the toys and materials have been provided. In
the second picture, Learning Environment (Bella) lack of colourful objects and toys have
been provided quite less compared to the first picture. In fact, in the last picture, Homecorner
(Jesie), has been a good example to show the children along with the educators that space is
the vital factor in the learning environment. Yet, no matter how much natural materials have
been acquainted, the need for more space for those active children is required every time.
Therefore, my picture is a successful attempt to raise the children adequately along with
proper learning materials.
