The business performance details help investors understand better ways of running the business to maximise the profits. Quality data management and recording are needed to monitor business progress. Further, good statistical analysis provides quality information about the performance of a business, hence outlining recommendations to better the business processes. In this report, sales data for Eclipse Vans manufacturer recorded in the year 2017 and 2018 will be used to develop a report on profitability, hence recommendations for better strategies. First, an analysis of the profitability of the business will be conducted to show its past and present business state. Further, the results will be analysed and options explored for future sales growth based on the requirements of the business managers. Finally, another business action will be recommended to help the business make more profits. Results Figure 1 below shows total profits in a month for the two years, 2017 and 2018. There is a systematic trend on how Eclipse Vans makes profits around the year. Generally, every year has two seasons of high profits, with the first occurring around February to May and the second September to December. Similarly, low seasons are experienced July and August. On average, there is no significant difference in the amount of profit earned, however, 2018 experienced more profits compared with 2017. Ann been making more sales compared with Rachael and Timothy. Therefore, the business managers should focus keenly on the low and high seasons to customize their sales strategies. Conclusion In conclusion, the month of the year has been found to be a significant determinant of the total profits and number of vehicles sold. Also, the type of vehicle also varies and customers seem to prefer Caravans over the others. Similarly, Touring vehicle types have consistently made more profits compared to Outback. The manager has a lot to work on in trying to publicize and balance the special pack offers to reduce the likelihood of inducing offers on less profitable categories.
