The sequence of 12 lesson plans is an exploration of the 1918 chapter of “My Place” written by Wheatley and Rawlins.
The chapter, being set in the 1918, provides the readers the sense of what it was like living via the War and the upsetting
aftermath on families that had soldiers never to return home. The following sequence of 12 lesson plan utilizes the information
narrative in developing the ability of the learners to create the orientation part of structure with a strict focus on descriptive
languages utilized and writing in first person tense.

The literacy unit learning intensions: In this unit, we are learning to; develop our understanding of descriptive words
along with writing in first person in the information narrative
Learning behaviours: I need to... make sure that the learners efficiently work both in groups and individually as they work
towards set text as well as undertaking their individual research to commence writing their own narrative.
