Qbic hotel.
Background :
Technology has changed lives as well as lifestyles of people. With increasing technology,
the world is developing at a faster rate, thus producing various opportunities for people as well.
In fact, technologies have become an essential part in modifying the lifestyle of people. Digital
technology have resulted in various positive outcomes in different sectors. It can be used in
achieving the outcomes as well as overcoming the barriers and challenges that can come as a
barrier in the growth of the company (Eckerson, 2010). The report is about the effect of
digitalisation technology in supporting and increasing the growth rate of Qbic hotel. Also, it
includes how it can help in innovation of the organisation as well.
Aim
To evaluate the impact of digitalisation in supporting growth and innovation of Qbic
hotel.
Objectives
 To determine the concept of digital technology
 To analyse the significance of digitalisation on increasing the development of Qbic hotel.

Aim of the project: The main aim of present project is To analyse the importance of
digital technology in supporting the development and innovation of Qbic hotel.

Project cost: The overall project decided to be 25000 Euros which will help in fulfilment
of overall aspects of the project being decided by the manager.
Time: In total it will take 11 days in initiating overall aspects of the business and
implementing the same in Qbic hotel.
Quality: Benchmarking quality is considered to be main aspect that can help in overall
fulfilment of goals and objectives of the business. Hence, Total Quality management criteria can
be adopted by the team for better output.
Communication: Vertical flow of communication will be adopted so as to ensure that

manual documentation of the hotel is the most challenging issue of the hotel. As it is quite hard
to record manually about all the details of the customers and employees. So, they think digital
technology can help in removing the system of manual documentation, thus can include any
database or something by which they can keep the records maintained so that there could be no
loss of data issue or no security concerns as well. One employee of the hotel think that the billing
system is the main issue of the company whereas another employee thinks the attendance

Research design
The research design can be considered as a strategy or technique on an overall basis that
helps in the integration of various components in a more satisfied way. It helps in providing an
accurate assessment with the dependent and the independent variables. It can be classified in
various types such as descriptive, co-relational, experimental, semi experimental and the review.
The descriptive involves the case studies or observations that are quite lengthy (Eckerson,
2010). Co-relational involves the observational studies, experimental and semi experimental
includes the experiments with some unexpected outcome or the quasi experiments and review
involves the systematic or literature review of the study. The researcher in analysing the impact
of digital technology in Qbic hotel, has to make use of the descriptive design for an appropriate
and efficient outcome.

P6 Recommendation based on the conclusion
The analysis performed above, it can be inferred that it is important for the companies to
opt for appropriate and adequate technological activities within the organization. It helps in
better functioning of the rigorous activities which can take time if performed manually. Qbic
hotel has not yet adopted available technology in order to serve its customers. Digital technology
is an appropriate way through which the company can get connected to its client and provide best
services to them. Further, it makes the internal functions of the organization easier than
compared to what can be done manually. There are certain recommendation that can be extended
to Qbic hotel, which are mentioned as under:
 Qbic needs to identify that what all functions that are performed by them manually can be
digitalised so that it can be completed in faster time (Seddon, Calvert and Yang, 2010). It
will help in processing the data, storing data of the customers, approaching them for
future references will become easy. It will also improve the profits of the hotel as well.
 Another recommendation that can be given to the hotel is that it must opt for basic
technologies prima facie so that it can train its employees with respect to it. Basic
technological advancement includes, use of computer for billing, handling the customer's
queries on e mail. It will help in making the company active on social platform which
will further improve the brand awareness as well.
 Another recommendation that can be given to Qbic hotel is that, it is important to
organize proper training sessions to the employees so that they can get aware of the usage
of the modern digital technology. It will further help in better implementation of the
programme and the company will not face any issues in the adoption of digital
technology in the hotel environment (Yeoh and Koronios, 2010).
P7 Reflection on conducting the research project
From the research conducted above, I was able to understand different tools and
techniques that are used by the researchers in order to handle data. Further, I came to know about
different data collection method that can be used by the researcher so that better conclusion to
the study can be found. In order to gain complete understanding regarding the topic, I had to go
through different books, journals and blog posts. It helped me to develop appropriate aims and

objectives for the study as well. I had to produce Gantt charts as an important task of the project,
I had to go through literature in order to understand the process of preparation of Gantt chart in
well defined manner. I used primary research approach where I tried to make effective
questionnaire so that important questions can be asked to the respondent with the aim to deliver
best results.
Further, I also prepared data analysis based on the data collected from the respondents.
Through this data analysis process I was able to reach to better conclusion of the study. In
addition to this, I get to learn about different research approaches as well through which I was
able to find the most suitable approach for my research. I learned about deductive and inductive
approach of research. I made appropriate data analysis and derived the results for the data. It
helped me to provide appropriate recommendations to Qbic hotel as well. In the end, I was able
to understand the importance of digital technology and impact of its adoption in the hotel.
Further, the reason why it is important for the current organization to opt for this method so that
it can help in increasing the profits of the business. Another importance that I learnt about it is
that it can help in making the business operations smooth and faster in comparison to one
currently followed by the organization (Mir and Pinnington, 2014).
