This dissertation aims to analyze the effect of schedule delays and cost overrun on a construction project and their interrelationship. It explores the impact of delays in schedule and cost overrun on a construction project and examines the relationship between schedule delays and cost overrun. The study recommends various methods to minimize the impact of cost overrun and schedule delay and suggests techniques to manage activities and improve labor performance. The findings reveal various factors that affect schedule delay, such as interference of outside agencies, labor strike, limited resources, poor management, error in planning, and poor site management.
