This article review examines the effectiveness of Decision Support Systems (DSS) and the factors that influence their perceived effectiveness. The study uses a simulation method to measure the impact of DSS on company performance and user satisfaction. The findings show that DSS users who perceive the system as effective are more likely to experience improved company performance. However, investing significant time in developing a system does not necessarily guarantee improved performance. The article also highlights the importance of including subjective measures while examining DSS effectiveness.
