In order to attain growth, there are various mediums such as expansion. Expansion is a state where organisation decides to increase their activities by various methods. Developing or expanding the business can be done by few ways and these methods are establishing more supermarkets, merger, acquisition etc. Globalisation is a concept which has created a platform where all organisations can trade internationally without any rigid rules and regulations. By using this tool of globalisation, Waitrose can expand their activities in nations of Asia and America and can attain even high market share. In order to do that, reliable training and development should be provided to employees of this company so that they can properly understand benefits of globalisation and can make efforts to attain maximum benefit from this concept. The reason behind selecting this method is expansion of Waitrose is a limited concept and it is difficult to identify reliable pre published data. Instead of this method, secondary data collection method can also be used under which second hand information is used to analyse and interpret results. random sampling method can also be used in which respondents are selected on the basis of some certain criteria. Research philosophy- Under this research,Interpretivismphilosophy is used because theaboveinvestigationisbasedonqualitativedata.Alternativephilosophywhichis recommendedbymeispositivism.Thisphilosophyishelpfulforinvestigationswhere quantitative data is used. Research design- For above research report, descriptive design is used. Furthermore, there is an another design which can be recommended for this investigation and that is exploratory. Under this all the quantitative data can be analysed and explored. Data analysis- Under this section, data which is gathered from primary or secondary collection method is now analysed and interpreted. For the above research proposal and analysis, data analysis techniques which is used is thematic. In which various questions are set as themes and then they are evaluated using tools of data analysis such as graphs, charts etc. Instead of this technique, another technique which is recommended for this investigation is focus groups. Under which, data can be analysed using paragraphs of interpretation. From the above project report, there are various lessons are learnt by me. These learning includes structure of a investigation. After developing above research proposal and analysis, I observed that globalisation has both negative as well as positive impact on marketing division of organisations. It has been ascertained that it is important to use reliable research methodology as the results are based on those methods only. From the outcomes of this investigation, it has been learnt that Waitrose should acquire benefit of globalisation rather than setting a mind-set that this complex set is not valuable for them. Another learning from the outcomes is that globalisation has both negative and positive impacts it is important to provide training to company's employees so that all positive impacts can be gained. 14
