Chapter 5: Discussion
In order to investigate the given study and analyse the outcomes of proprioceptive
training program on agility in Hong Kong national first-team cricket players, IBM SPSS
statistical Base 24.0 software has been used by researchers (Soomro and et. al., 2016). This
statistical test provided more effective and reliable information that helps in checking viability of
result. Here, data has been expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD), where main purposes of
conducting statistical analysis is to test the viability on the basis of pre-test and post-test that
whether training improves the agility of cricket players or not. The data of both agility tests and
balance tests have been passed the tests of normality and parametric tests, which are used for
analysing information that had not pass the test of normality non parametric test (Atalay,
Tarakci and Algun, 2018). Here, for testing the viability of Paired T test / Wilcoxon Signed Rank
Test has been done.
Descriptive Statistics
This test states that right leg of cricketers aid to cover longer distance as compared to left
side therefore, agility test has shown that there is much improvement on average of results.
Statistics of Balance Test - Y-Balance Test (YBT) by Non-Parametric Test
For measuring the effectiveness of training proprioceptive training on agility in Hong
Kong national first-team cricket players, YBT test has been used by project team of present study
(Kim and Park, 2016). As per this test, it has been analysed that there is a significant
improvement in agility of national cricket players after getting proprioceptive training.

Statistics by Illinois test by parametric test
It has been evaluated through Illinois parametric test that however, there is a significant
improvement in agility of cricketers after proprioceptive of core training, between pre-test and
post-test. So, as per perception of Pote and Christie (2018), it has been analysed that there is a
rapid improvement in agility because both pre-illinois and post-illinois are positively correlated.

Conclusion
It has been concluded from this overall discussion that statistical analysis helps in
understanding the effectiveness of training program more appropriately. As compared with
traditional research methodologies like questionnaire and interview techniques, statistical test
measures the viability of result more appropriately (Ravier and & et. al., 2018). Here, in present
research YBT test has proven that by concerning on importance of developing agilities,
proprioceptive training aid cricketers in enhancing their abilities required to optimise
performance and prevent from cricket injuries. In this regard, neuromuscular training should be
provided in flexible manner to cricket team players which helps in preventing them from
