INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills are the skills which are necessary for an individual for beingsuccessful for a particular job. Further, these are the skills and attitude which enable employeesto get together with their colleagues, to make important and crucial decisions, solve all theconsequences within organization, etc. These skills are also non technical skills which isnecessary for business enterprise to earn a good employment and also participate efficiently inthe workplace (Andersson, 2012). In this context, this present report is based on identifying theself potential to work effectively in future in a desire of organization. Organization undertakenfor the present study is Hilton Hotels and Resorts which is an international chain of hotels andresorts under flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide. This report focuses on developing a set ofown responsibilities and performance objectives and also evaluation of own effectiveness againstthe defined objectives.TASK 11.1 Developing set of own responsibility and performance objectives Being an HR manager of Hilton Hotel, it is my core responsibility to take care of mypotentially talented employees who are significantly working hard to provide the best quality offoods and services to customers. I will inspect all the standards and infrastructure whichmentioned company is providing to their employees. For effective functioning, I will looktowards all the management and administration work in presence of one or two subordinate asthey will help me in getting things done quickly. In a hospitality sector, employees need to befresh which gives a positive impression on client that organization will be delivering best tothem. In relation to this, I will provide them refreshments two times a day daily which will keepthem enthusiastic and motivated. This refreshment will include tea, coffee and also snacks onspecial occasion. Further, hospitality performance gets affected when one employee gets ill ornot able to function properly (Cassidy, 2006). Therefore, I will look towards the health of myemployees so that they will perform relatively good throughout the session. Further, some of myown responsibility and performance objectives have been stated below.My prior role is to identify the required vacancies which are existing in the mentionedhospitality and to fill it with most suitable and deserving candidate. 1

I will focus on providing effective training to both existing and newly recruitedemployees so that they will improve their knowledge and skills in which they lack.Working in hospitality is not a easy task as employees have to deal with all types ofcustomers and they even have different language and communicating style. I will conducta session of communication skills which will help individuals to know how tocommunicate with clients for better performance.1.2 Evaluating own effectiveness Being a HR manager, I have to evaluate my personal effectiveness with the goals andobjectives which are implemented by organization. These are stated below:Training and development session- This session will majorly help me to improve someactivities in which I lack. By overcoming these, I will be able to achieve my individualas well as organizational goals in a significant manner. Further, training session will helpme to gain comprehensive knowledge of HR and will make my profile as a HR managermore productive and effective.Developing communication skills- Communication skills will help me to have a preciseand clear communication with employees as well as with clients. Further, this will help indeveloping a strong bond with a large customer base as they will become a loyalcustomer base for mentioned hotel which will also increase revenue and productivity(Cunningham, 2010). Critical thinking skills- Critical thinking skills will help me to make effective decision inhospitality whenever so required. Being a creative thinker, it will help me to achieve newperspective within mentioned company and can further lead towards promotion anddevelopment. Further, creative thinking skills will also help me to remove all the disputesand hindrance between superiors and subordinate and also between peers.1.3 Recommendations for improvement Being a HR manager of Hilton, I will focus on operational functions of mentionedhospitality and will maintain the standard which organization have since decades before. Further,I will implement different theories and principles to improve the performance of employees as ifthey are satisfied then they will be providing best of the services to the customers. Some basicareas where Hilton lacks and it need improvement:2
