EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS AND ENTERTAINMENT SKILL
Introduction
In a higher academic level, I have achieved a degree on event management course. In
order to develop my personal and professional skills, I have conducted a self-evaluation process
for the future study. If I want to become a full-fledged event organizer, I require gathering
sufficient information with a detailed analysis. Therefore, I have structured this study to identify
the significance of establishing the networking process with the outer world. Furthermore, I am
looking forward to share experiences on the method of dealing with the crucial scenario while
attending any interview session.
Discussion
2.1 Know Your Sector
Effectiveness of the Networking process to gather ideas about the industry
Firstly, I need to be skilled enough in developing my interpersonal attributes to make myself
commercially competent. Development of the interpersonal skills is the most important segment
in event management (Jin, Liu and Austin 2014). It is quite necessary for an event professional to
develop the knowledge about the effective networking process in the field program. The
adequate knowledge regarding the entire process would help in arranging a successful event
program. With the help of effective interpersonal communication efficiency, it becomes easier to
attract more audience, sponsors, and community (leaders Sin and Amaral 2017). It is essential to
establish the proficient communication with the people who belong to diverse cultural
background. The effective verbal and non-verbal communication process helps in overcoming

the lingual barrier (Seys et al. 2013). Gaining the effective time management skill, managerial
efficiency, and decision-making attributes would be much helpful in this context.
My networking experience
This event management coursework has been much experiencing for me to develop my
communication and interpersonal attributes. When I was required communicating with the
people visiting the event, this interpersonal communication was my weapon to win their
attentions. I attended two of the events, one was based on the tourism event and the other was an
event held for launching a new book. I was appointed as the event manager and was associated
with 35 people were working on that event. I needed to arrange a well-organized event with
appropriate venue, arrangements, facilities, and necessary instruments. People from diverse
background were present in that event that helped me in communicating with them and develop
my interpersonal skills. The adequate knowledge regarding the entire process would help in
arranging a successful event program. With the help of effective interpersonal communication
efficiency, it becomes easier to attract more audience, sponsors, and community. The event was
quite experiencing for me as I got to learn different skills. In that book launching event, I was
associated as one of the coordinators. It was my responsibility to provide the spectators the
significance of the book that was launched. I can say that this experience was quite promising for
me as I needed to gain excellent interpersonal skills to convince the audience.

(Jackson 2015). Effective decision making is the most necessary attribute that one needs to learn
while visualizing about the career in management field (Patti et al. 2016). In addition to this, the
individuals require gaining efficiency in technological competency, time management, and
strategic planning skills as well. The business management study helps in fulfilling the gaps
faced by the executive while convincing the spectators.
Analytical discussion of professional qualification
I have selected event management as my primary coursework in spite of acquiring degree
in two different subjects. I have specialized on leadership and effective communication process.
Majority of the problems I have faced in making effective decision as I was quite burdened with
extra works. Moreover, I needed more improvements in developing my communication skills to
overcome the language barriers that I may while developing my career by working in
international ground. I need to make improvements in my skill proficiency parameter. It is
essential to establish the proficient communication with the people who belong to diverse
cultural background (Deery and Muskat 2014). The linguistic inefficiency is mostly the concern
in such context.
Planning for acquiring the professional attributes to deal with the interview
I have appeared for many interviews and I have gathered the sufficient knowledge
regarding the business professionals. I have realized that we all need to be more skilled to
impress the interviewers. Academic qualification is not enough to develop the professional skills.
The job applicant needs to gather the adequate knowledge about the professional attributes that
would help for the betterment of the future. Degrees in two specialized courses were quite
impressive for the HR department during the interview. Decision making skills and leadership
