1.0 Introduction
My course is Event Management and this subject allowed me to know about different
aspects of conducting an event. I have an interest to perform the role of ‘Staff Engagement
Events Coordinator’. In this report, I will discuss how my course details helped me to build
effective networking followed by reflecting on the networking experience. I will explain my
effectiveness of networking through the two events that I have attended that is Outburst Arts
Festival 2017 and Nightrider event. I will also explain my course of business management will
develop my skills which are followed by the details of my analysis of a professional qualification
along with the plan to acquire these recognized professional qualifications. Lastly, the
description of the current job and the specification for the job, required skills and reflection on
the interview experience will also be discussed.

2.1 Know yourself
2.1.1 How can networking helps in becoming more commercially aware of your sector
The main job roles of the Staff Engagement Events Coordinator are Stakeholder
management, Negotiation and influencing, formulate event proposals, obtaining event quotes,
identifying staffing requirements and the things that is required to conduct a successful event. All
these job roles cannot be occurred without proper knowledge of developing network with people.
Eisen et al. (2012) also depicted that in order to develop an effective business network, it is
important to visit as many groups as possible, volunteer positions in organizations and
articulate about the job approaches. All these job roles will help me to improve my position as
