INTRODUCTION
Skills acts as an one of the most important element within a person overall personality in
this today fast paced developing society (Tran, 2015). It has been seen in each and every
business concerns despite of their size and scope that they perform their common motive such as
growth and enhancements. In this present scenario, employability skills concepts are discussed in
a formative manner which further lead towards growth and development of an organisation. It is
mainly a long-term decision which is levied on workers along with other related individuals who
are linked with business concerns in some manner. Skills are utilised to effectively determine an
individual overall skill and evaluation of any kind of further which is required to be undertaken.
In these report formative discussions has been made on Travelodge hotels, which is one of the
leading and growing business sector within hospitality industry by having around 500 hotels
situated within United Kingdom. This report discusses skills of an individual along with
numerous set of self responsibility that will benefit in performance management. Along with
these smart techniques has been mentioned in this report. Lastly concept of motivational skills
which will help in improving performance quality of an individuals are also been covered in this
present report.

1.1 Developing a set of own responsibilities and performance objectives
In order to develop self responsibilities in a developing way it is essential for an individual
to evaluate skills in best effective manner. Knowledge and skills of individuals can be increased
with the help of continuous interactions with qualification and outside environment. I chosen
smart techniques in order to conduct my personal evaluation as Travelodge manager with the
help of this I can easily able to conduct my personal evaluation along with proper understanding
of my formative responsibilities and rules. Mentioned below there are some roles and
responsibility which is required to be undertaken by me as assistant manager:

responsibility to take formative suggestions from subordinates in the decision making process
with the help of which I can able to increase sense of motivation and satisfaction within them.

One of the most important responsibilities which are required to be accomplished by me is
proper examination and evaluation of my subordinates’ performance. With the help of this I can

After effective determination of my own responsibilities and rules it has been found by me
that self management take lot of effort and is a complicated process. Further it is required by me
to focus on accomplishment of objective and goals in a particular period of time. SMART
techniques are important for each in every organisation with the help of which productivity and

organisation such as decision making, planning, problem solving and more. Appraisal system in
relation to this is one of the most essential processes with the help of which compensations are
provided to improve ways that include job rotation; promotion etc. With the help of these
objectives which is an integral element of SMART format relationship management can be built
in a well effective manner:
Performance objectives
Objectives play a key essential rule with the help of which evaluation of performance can be
done in a best effective manner (Trought, 2017). It is required by each and every business
concerns to formulate objectives in order to achieve the targets in a specified period of time.
Thus, as a Travelodge manager proper setting of objectives along with analysis and Critical
evaluation are required to be done by me as per according to my strength and weaknesses.

towards better enhancement in their skills. Decision making skill is mainly utilised to arrive at a
conclusion with the help of which effective outcomes can be received in order to perform a work
in a best effective. In order to effectively understand a situation different types of tools and
techniques are chosen by me. With the help of these techniques I can easily able to develop and
improve my skills with. Further it helps me to increase my effective performance towards hotel.
In context with organisation individual appraisal system has been adopted by me for my own
evaluations. With the help of which I can examine the skills that are required to be modified with
the help of the significant tool I can able to improve my skills along with satisfaction level.
According to the examination it has been found by me that my communication skills are rated in
an average margin that requires certain set of modifications. For this I decided to take personality
development classes in order to develop my overall soft skills. With the help of this I can easily
able to enhance my communication skills which helps to maintain healthy relationships within
travelodge environment. In addition with this it has been required by me to manage my time in a
