INTRODUCTION
Employee relation and industrial relation is an important for each and every organisation.
An organisation with good employee and employer relation program provide fair treatment to all
employees (Amini and et.al., 2018). By this they are committed to their job and its responsibility.
Present study is based on “Arcadia group” is the British multinational retailing company which is
established in London. The group has more than 2500 outlets in the UK. It owns high street
clothing retailers. Study lays emphasis on values and importance of employees relation and
fundamentals of employment law with examples. Report will show different rights, duties and
obligations of employer and employee at workplace. It is also highlighted the stakeholder
analysis and its impact on employee relation both negative and positive.

Explain values and importance of employee relation in Arcadia group.
Maintaining healthy employee relations in an organisation it very important. Success of
organisation is depends on strong and healthy relationship between the employer and employee

of Arcadia group. Employee deals with avoiding and resolving issues which are related to the
organisation then it will influence the work. It is important and valuable for growth and improve
productivity of organisation.
Importance and values of employee relations
Increased productivity
Effective and healthy relations help to increase productivity and profit of the firm.
Management of Arcadia group thinks that the employees are the assets of organisation. Positive
relation of employee improve working performance of employee. That motivate them towards

It helps to enhance value and confidence of employees. For example: for maintaining their
productivity of organisation, management have to keep the proper relations with employee

boost morale towards loyalty and help to eradicate the conflicts of Arcadia group. It is the
success of organisation. Also, that maintain growth and productivity of organisation.
Explaining fundamentals of employment law.
Employment law is the collection of laws and rules that regulate relationship between
employee and employers of Arcadia group. It says that employer hire new candidate and
employee for their vacant post when employment is applicable. That include the roles of jobs,
benefits, salary and compensation which is related to work and duties of employee. There are
some fundamentals of employments laws which are adopted by Arcadia group. That are as
follows:

It is the very important and helpful law for employee and employer of organisation. This
law says the give equal treatments to employee according to their work and performance and
also equal rights to employees (Fundamental of employment laws, 2017). That includes age,
disability, religion and sex or sexual orientation. That all are covered by equality act of
employee. This help to stop discriminations within the organisation. Arcadia group give equal
rights to their female and male employee according this law. For example: employee when face
any harassments at workplace then this law is applicable. Employee can complain against
harassment and employer have to stop this at workplace.

employer. Both are play an important role in organisation and key aspect of successfully meet
with business objectives. Make effective strategies which impact on stress level, leading with

role in organisation. That helped to produced good and negative environment at workplace.
