Abstract
The present study aims to analyze impact of employee turnover on retail sector of UK with
special reference to Asda. It aims to assess appropriate strategies that can be followed by the
respective company to deal with the issue of employee turnover. Through the study, it is found
that employee turnover is a significant issue in retail industry. It measures separation which
means the number of employees who leave a company during a particular period of time. Here,
separation is about everyone who is no longer associated with the entity. Further, employee
turnover is break down two parts. Firstly, it covers number of individuals who leave the
organization voluntarily on other side it also included employees who are terminated by the
employer. Further, High employee turnover will decrease the productivity of the company that
will directly affect their competitive positioning in the business environment. Further, employee
morale also gets low when employee turnover is high. By maintaining positive reputation of
brand, it is possible for the respective entity to retain existing workers significantly to minimize
the overall employee turnover. In addition, the entity can also structure suitable motivational
strategies to reduce down employee turnover significantly.
