INTRODUCTION Hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing sector into world that is having majority of shares of market with itself (Heritage, 2014). The industry is having many other sectors joined with like that of hotels, travel and tourism, sports recreation and many more. Toursim is among the largest contributors of local economy and generating job for many local people. This particular report will be covering one of the most prestigious charitable trust of UK which is English Heritage. It is the registered charity which is aimed at managing National Heritage collection having its under about 400 of historic buidlings and monuments of UK. The report will cover purpose, ethos and objectives together with the process of its operation with charitable status of English Heritage. Further towards the end this report will cover the key stakeholders to English Heritage by using theory to evaluate impact of these stakeholders. TASK 1 Outline how English Heritage are governed, establish their purpose, ethos and objectives together with how they operate their business financially considering their charity status English Heritage is one of the registered charitable trust was formed in 1983 as government agency and then into charity in year 2015. This is having about 400 heritage and historic monuments which are about 5000 years old under its inspection (English heritage prioritie,. 2018). It is havving its mission or motto to as Bringing history to life that is linked with influencing historical figures to particular buidling. At time when it was founded in 1983 it was operating as executivenon- department publics body of the British government for the historic buidling and monuments commission for England. It is running for protection and managing a wider range of historic properties of country. The English Heritage is divided into 2 parts that is Historic England which depend upon inherited statutory and protection will be function of old organisation and new charity would operate in historic properties. For this British government gave about £80 million grant in way of helping it to establish as indepentende trust but the historic property was still under ownership of state (Stead, 2014). The charity is having reveue of about £74.5 million in year 2014 and 2015 with the expenses of £176.2 million in same year. English Heritage is having staff of about 2699 and apart from this they are also having 1872 volunteers in year 2015. 1

They are in search of experiencing history where it took place long time back so English Heritage did this all for these people who are intereseted into knowing history of place and country (Heritage, 2014). They are inspiring people and entertaining them as well of all ages with enduring values, ehos and culture for the people who are visiting England. Their vision is to get people experience about history of England where it really happened at that place only. They do not belive in forming things or places more and more exaggerate or making things only for the sake of entertainment but they are separating fact with that of fiction and preseneting in fornt of people what is true and real (Heritage, 2014). English Heritage is delivering the best of quality of service with having highest standards within work. English Heritage is also taking the responsibility so that they could be able to play different role where they are hosting million of visitors and conserning many of the finest historic sites and palaces as well. For the sustainable development for tourism within UK there is London Sustainable Development which is working upon 4 R’s which are respect, resources, results and responsibility (Heritage, 2014). They are also having historic sites and artefacts so that they could conserv and protect history for future time as well. English Heritageis also mainting its collection of high standards, with ensuring contined signifiance, developing their collection with increasing understanding through outstanding research and developing expertise as well. The financial sustainbility is the most important part of their plan that is becoming financial independent by 2022-23 which could be done by growing membership base and investing into recruitment and giving people or customers chance to remain with charity for longer duration of time. 3

As per the annual report of 2017-18 it was noted that they are getting support and involvment of their supporters each of which is playing vital role into sharing story of England and keeping it alive. These include that of Historic house association (HHA), Country land and business association (CLBA) and then the listed property owner club also have some of the historic places or building under them. Developers- There are many developers who are regarded to as stakeholders of English Heritage who are playiing role into making and developing places, sites and buildings which are having historic importnace in history of England (Schofield, 2016). They all developers are the real estate agents or building developers who are responsible for the development, protection, preservation and safety of places carrying historic importance. So they are very important stakeholders of English Heritage without whom the charity will not be able to work and function properly. Local authority- 7
They are regarded to as the local authority or representatives who are taking part into development and growth of English Heritageso that it could be promoted among people and visitors who are coming to visit such places of historic importnace. The local authority are playing their role of promoting tourism into country so that they could be able to gain revenue and income as well. These local authority are one of the most important stakeholder who are having interest into policies and practise of English Heritageso they would be improving importance of historic places and building within country (North and Heritage, 2015). There are 118 conservation officers, 9 heritage champions, 53 planning professionsla, 5 others and 28 archaeologist as well. Customers or visiors- It was noted that in year 2017-18 there were about more than 10 million visitors in England all these are the increasing number each year. This includes that they are the most important visitors and stakeholders of charity who are respresenting the huge number of income and expenditure for charity. As it is already noted that customers are always the most important and first stakeholders for any company who are sources of income of funds for them as well. Company must be making their own efforts into protecting and securing the interest of these customers so that they are happy and satisfied with service and quality which company is meant to give them. It is the foremost duty of England Heritage that they are providing their customers with best quality and standard of service, protecting them and their health, maintaining hyginic environment and keeping place or buidling neat and clean (Stead, 2014). All these things will help customers and attract them to visit place again and again thus improving the income for English Heritage as well. Employees or volunteers- They are the one who are mainly responsible for creating experience for customers and visitors who are ariving at places. It is very much important that employees or volunteers are all experties in their field having experience of working within the hospitality industry for longer duration of time. There are at present 2699 employees are 1872 volunteers of English Heritage who are working both full and part time for improving the culture, ethos and nature of country by increasing the number of people visiting buildings and monuments carrying historic importnance for country.
