Shared Reading
Book chosen or shared reading is “Little Polar Bear”. The main reason behind choosing
this book is because English used in this book is extremely simple and with lots of images which
makes it much easier for children to understand. This book will further give information to
students about what North Pole is, what type of place it is, what type of animals live there and
how they survive (Underwood and Farrington-Flint, 2015). This book will further help children
to enhance their vocabulary and images present within book will help in enhancement of visual
literacy of children. Other than this, another reason for which this story has been chosen is
because it will help in developing interest of children as such kind of story.
