Introduction
SunRise Café is one of the startup coffee as well as bakery houses that are located in The
Junction. The main theme of the café is to boost the confidence of the individuals by providing
delicious food to The Junction individuals. The Junction is the Clubhouse that are placed where
the people with the mental health issues can meet their peers in a structured environment that
provide access to the employment as well as pre-employment activities, improved the housing
access, social ventures, mentoring life, development of life as well as a range of self-directed
activities. They will provide their services through take-away (Burns & Dewhurst, 2016).
Therefore, a café will be open in such place that will provide delicious food to them in an
effective manner as well as business model will be prepared to clear the services that the café
will provide and the manner it will be managed.
Business Goal
The main aim of the café is to provide food to the required individual at minimal cost to
provide them healthy life and food in an effective manner. There are short term and long term
goal of the café that are explained in below points:
Short-Term Goals
 Contact and coordinating with the advertisement consultant for two months to help in
analyzing the needs and requirement of the consumers
 Consumers service goal is the next goal in which the free coupons and discounts will be
offered to the consumers that will able to made them buy the healthy food
 Provide employment to the required people.
Long-Term Goals
 Provide healthy lifestyle to the individuals of The Junctions
 Become chosen as the “ Best New Innovative Coffee” by the native restaurants guide

 Increase rush to the café by minimum thirty percent by the end of the fiscal year
(McKeever, 2016).
Product and services offering
SunRise Café proposed a different variety of products to their consumers such as Coffee
as well as espresso that will belong from the Colombian grown imported coffee beans. The café
would able to cater all the requirements of the consumers as well as each coffee that would make
the product unique as well as would able to see for the smallest details. Other than that the face
will provide pastries, bread products with full of vegies to the consumers that will be served as
small meal for them with healthy food in an effective and efficient manner (Kim, Jang & Adler,
2015). The café will offer gourmet roasted coffees with such varieties such as White Mocha,
brewed coffee, candy bar, carmelicious, mocha, cappuccino, and other beverages as well.
Complementing with the coffee, the café will serve line of smoothie that include wild berry,
mango, lemonade, strawberry, wild berry and so on. Rounding out the simple menu line will be
the pastries that obtained with outside suppliers, freshly made as well as delivered daily. The
primary line will also include cookies, scones, rolls, breads, burgers and son on. These will be
served at minimal cost that would help in providing healthy food to the people of The Junctions
in an effective and efficient manner (Cristo, Saerang & Worang, 2017).
Market Research and Analysis
There are certain sources that were used to prepare the business plan such as Small
business Advisory Network, Australian Bureau, meeting with several business companies’
centers as well as business brokers through brief surveys.
Marketing Plan
The overall goal of the SunRise café is to enhance the number of employment and
provide healthy food to the mental illness people in order to expand the base of clients
participating in as well as moving through the process of program. The management of the café
has been busily making the plans for marketing the various services that will be offered in the
café. The fund collected from the sales of the products will be distributed in the expenditure of
the club. Moreover, the cafe will be reorganized that has enhanced its appearances as well as will

help the efficiency of the operation. The take away servie will be provided for the consumers to
make fast delivery (Le, Wild & Jackels, 2017).
Financial Plan
It has been expected that regularly 15 to 20 consumers will attend the café. The café has
received $250,000 from Sate Government, $27000 from Federal Government as well as $2000 in
the form of private donation. Such funds will be used to purchase coffee equipment which is
expected to be costing of $6500, and fixed amount will be occurred on wages which is $39000.
Other expenses include consumable $40000 and other foods $20000 that is considered as the
compulsory expenses that will be done by the café while running the business.
Operating Activities of Café
Legal and License Requirement
 Business name and Legal Structure
The SunRise is the Non-for –profit café that will be opened for the purpose of social service
rather than earning. It will be registered under. Therefore, the registration will be done
accordingly.
 Operating laws and License
The café is required to taken permission form the local authority to open their NPO in
that club and need to take permission from the director of The Junction Club to use their space
for delivering services. The cafe is also required to register their business under Workplace
Health and Safety Act, 2011 (Cth) in which they need to ensure that they will make the
environment healthy for the employees as well as for the consumers.
Management Team and Organizational Structure
In the café, Mr. Ronald will be the CEO of the café and Mr. Dale is the chief Operating officers
as well as one of the Chief Technology Officers.

 Mr. Ronald is one the maser in Finance, therefore, he would able to manage the strategic
plans, and able to forecast the future with governing and managing the budget.
 Mr. Dale will handle the multipart operating details of the company. They will majorly
focus on the services that will be provided to the consumers.
 The Chief Technology officer will handle the coffee art in which he need to prepare the
coffee that can make it better.
 The SunRise coffee shop will require two full time and four part-time staff who actually
required money and job, three house keepers, and also one accountant that will handle the
account details of the café (Speer, & Lara, 2017).
Professional Advisors
The café is also required professional advisers to run the business more efficiently and
effectively:
 Lawyer: one lawyer is required for the café who will handle and manage all the legal
requirement to open the café
 Charted Accounted- One CA is needed to handle the tax exemptions related compliances
 Bank Account- there is also requirement t to open the current account with the name of
café for day-to-day transactions, thus, there is requirement to coordinate with the bank
manager in the bank.
 Insurance Broker- SunRise Café is also required one insurance broker to handle and
manage the installment of insurance related work.
Security and Insurance Challenges
The café is also required to secure the business from the uncertainty that may occur on
the business. Therefore there is great requirement for insurance if the café that help in protecting
the premises, pubic liability, professional indemnity, as well as work compensation. There is also
great requirement to take care of the equipment’s, business property, online security for the
website that help in covering the backup for the data regularly as well as stored off-site.

Business Premises
SunRise café will open in the premise and campus of The Junction to provide services to
the required candidates. They will be taking in lease for one year. It will help the consumers to
approach such place in more effective and efficient manner.
Equipment Required
The major equipment that is required for the business is explained in below points:
 Coffee Grinder
 Coffeemaker
 Espresso Machine
 Equipment of food services such as Toaster, Blender, Microwave, Refrigerator, as well as
Dishwasher
 Equipment related to office work such as telephone, fax or printer, PC, fittings and
fixtures as well as file cabinets
 Equipment related to counter area such as ice machine, sink, as well as counter top
 Other hardware for storage which include shelves, utensils, food case as well as bins
Process of Production
Each of the coffee beverages will be based on a ‘shot’ of espresso. The espresso based
milk will be prepared with the process of skimmed or soymilk that enhances the taste with the
healthy milk, the coffee beverage will be based on the concept of “Gun Shot” of espresso. The
coffee will be equipped in the machine of espresso by forcing the heated water through the
ground coffee at a high pressure. It will be mixed with the ingredient of the stemmed mild and/or
other flavor such as caramel, cocoa p prepare the espresso based coffee. Through such process
the coffee will be prepared and serve it to the consumers.
Critical Risks
The critical risk that can be occurred with such coffee shop is the source of funding. The
business is majorly based on Non-For-Profit purpose therefore, the source of investment will be

the major issues that can occurred in the business. There are certain factors that cannot be
ignores are explained in below points:
 The risk of creating ineffective layout of the consumers can be faced by the company.
Therefore, planning of each detail is required to be done to the core from the process of
consumer entrance, wait and take away. Ambiance should be tidy and attractive to boost
the mood of consumers.
 Choosing the right equipment can be the risky for the company. Therefore it is required
to select the correct equipment that is cost effective as well as utilize them in an effective
manner that would help in protecting from unnecessary utilization of capital under their
head.
 Building an inefficient espresso workstation can be also the issue for the company.
Therefore, it is required for the café o make sure that they are designing the correct layout
of machines so that if the peak hours will come than the demand can be easily fulfilled

Key Activities
 Delivering coffee: The main activity of the café will be delivering different type of
beverages and coffee to their consumers that made them feel satisfied
 Delivering healthy food: the main concept of opening such café is to provide healthy diet
to the ill health and ill mental people that help in bossing their moos in more effective
and efficient manner.
 Generating employment: the café has also motive to generate the employment for the
people who are in need to motive them to achieve their life goal and help in enhancing
the standard of living in an effective and efficient manner.
 Participating in social services: the café will also arrange different programs in their café
to participate in the social services that is been provided to them in an effective manner
(Bocken et al., 2016).
Key Partnerships
The key partners of the SunRise resort are other NGO’s to make participation in such
services, suppliers from whom the raw material will be purchased, volunteers who wanted to
spend their time in such social service, other retailers, Government who will permit and provide
fund to the Café and the Junction club house that help the café to open in their campus in an
effective manner

 The product will be provided at minimal cost to the consumers that made them feel to
come and buy the products in ore effective and efficient manner.
 The system of complaints will also be provided to the consumers therefore, it can help the
consumers to share their issues related to services or product that are provided by the café
it help in creating strong bond among the café and consumers in an effective manner.
 The café will also welcomed the suggestions or any kind of recommendations form the
consumers that help the café to enhance their services and able to get know about the
taste and preference of the consumers in more effective manner.
 To conduct survey of their services, the cafe will provide feedback form to the consumers
in which the consumers can give rating to the café according to their experience in the
café that made the café know about the services they are provided are sufficient or not
(Linder & Williander, 2017).
Value Propositions
 The café will look their consumers as a part of their cafe as well as will deliver the value
of being healthy with innovative products. The café will give more to more to their
consumers.
 The café will give major preference to the quality of the product as they will not
compromise with any kind of product quality which is the main objective of the café.
They will purchase their raw material from the authorised place and will be checked
twice that they are fresh or not.
 Ecological utensils will be used by the café while delivering their foods. It help the café
to make participation in protecting the environment as well as that motivate others also to
use the same and make the participation in such process in an effective manner.
Customers Segment
The customers segment plays a vital role in the success of any business. Therefore the
major customer segment for the safe will be the members and visitors of the Junction Club
House as they are the primary consumers of the Café.

Moreover, the outsiders are also allowed to visit the café; however, different prices list
will be set for the outsiders to earn income from the outsiders than can be invested in the social
services that are done by the café.
Channels
The café will provide their products as well as services from their outlet as well as will
also provide their services through the source of online to target the outsiders for their products
in more effective and efficient manner.
Key Resources
The resources that are required to run the business are:
Coffee Equipment’s: it is required to provide the beverages and to prepare the beverages for
the consumers
Capital: the place is also required to serve their services. Capital include, fund, premise and
other equipment’s to run the business.
Employees: they are required to manage the café and to provide effective services to the
consumers
Suppliers: they will provide required raw material to the café that made the services of the
café more effective and efficient.
Cost Structure
While managing the café, certain expense will be occurred. The fixed cost will be salaries
of the employees, payment of ingredients, expenses of managing the store, payment required for
purchasing and maintain the equipment as well as the rent of the premises. These will be
occurred on compulsory basis that is required to be managed by the café efficiently.
Revenue Streams
There is certain stream of revenue for café as they are:

 Donations: it is one of the effective sources to raise funds for café. The face will spread
awareness bout their services and provide the facility of donation if any individual or

 Selling products to outsiders: the products will be selling to the outsiders to raising funds
for the services provided by café
 Government: the other sources are government who will manage the whole fund and
expenses of the Café (Saebi & Foss, 2015).
Conclusion
From the above analysis it can be concluded that social services is greatly required in the
world. One of the individual has taken initiative to open small café for the NPO purpose. The
cafe will provide takeaway services for the consumers of The Junction Club house to boost them
and provide employment opportunities in the market. The cafe is required huge amount to set up
their business. Therefore, the government has supported such café by providing effective funds
in form of donation. Various services will be provided by the café in an effective manner. They
will provide beverages, bread, burgers and other products to the consumers that deemed as
healthy for the consumers. The café is required to expand their business in an effective manner.
They need to focus on their business by providing various services to the consumers in an
effective and efficient manner.
