1ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Response to question 1:
In order to manage the environmental impacts of the organization and to have a
positive impact on the environment and the human beings, organizations adopt environment
management systems (Carayannis, Sindakis and Walter 2015). It is important for the
organization to manage the environment properly because it will help them to become
sustainable and looking after the present level of awareness of the customers and other
stakeholders it has become important for organizations to manage its activities in such a way
that its impact on the environment is lesser. Customers and stakeholders feel good to be a part
of a company which understands its responsibility towards the environment because then the
stakeholders feel that they are also contributing to the society. Organizations carry out
environmental management systems because it can be integrated in the organization for the
purpose of reducing the impact of the organizational operations on the environment (Lopes et
al. 2017). The EMS involves making use of standards such as ISO 14001 in order to achieve
improve the performance of the organization and the help it become sustainable. Various
such activities are carried out by the Etihad Company in order to reduce the environmental
impacts.

3ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Response to question 2:
The four main parts of the environmental management system model include- plan,
do, check and act. Planning is the first step in the process of managing environmental actions,
implementing the same, regularly monitoring the process and seeing if there is any gap
between the actual performance and the expected performance (Halmaghi 2016). It is
continuous process because it involves making regular changes to the process of managing
environment.

From the above diagram, it can be understood that there are four main parts of the
environmental management system which are- plan that involves identification of the
problem, prioritizing the problem, defining the different metrics for success and others. The
second step is to carry out the activity or doing the activity that involves implementing the
solution, rapid development of the plan, the third stage is check in which the main objective
is to check the impact and measure the same and see if any improvements are needed and the
