INTRODUCTION Ethical training is very important for an organisation. It enables employees of the organisation to judge moral legitimacy of their work decision which helps them in applying moral values and principles in decision making in the company (Warren, Gaspar and Laufer, 2014). This report will discuss about ethical training in Commonwealth Bank which is a multinational Australian bank that operates in different countries including Asia, US, UK, etc. MAIN BODY Need Analysis Trainingneedanalysisassessmentofdevelopmentandlearningrequirementsfor employees, trustees and volunteers in an organisation. It is conducted at three levels which are organisation level, individual level and job level. Organisational level analysis studies vision, mission, process, performance and objective of company and examine learning environment that is required for training. Thus, it is important to deeply study these elements to help achieve objectives of the respective organisation (Training Needs Analysis,2019). Individual Level analysis helps in identifying the employees of Commonwealth Bank that need training. In order to do it, performance appraisal data is compared to standard expected performanceoftheemployeesofrespectivecompany.Thus,variousmethodssuchas competency rating, attitude, assessment survey, etc. are taken in consideration. Job level method is useful for program evaluation as it uses task oriented approach along with worker oriented approach (McGrath, 2012). Thus, Commonwealth Bank can practise this approach to identify activities that needs to be performed in any job role. Designing Ethical Training Plan There are various ethical training methods that can be practised by Commonwealth Bank to achieve its objectives. These plans are discussed below: Written Code of Conduct is a method which involves developing written code of conduct which will help in understanding the ethical issues. This can improve conduct of staff members in Commonwealth Bank. Additionally, it helps in promoting organisational values, rules and regulations in mindset of staff members and promotes professional ethical behaviour for company (Workplace Ethics Training,2019).
Develop Culture of Ethics focuses on ethics training in the organisation. Thus, CEO and other senior manager participate in it. Furthermore, an officer is specially appointed for this purpose which gives a perspectives of seriousness about the policies and guidelines to the employees of Commonwealth Bank. Implementation ManagersifCommonwealthBankcancommunicatewrittencodeofconductto employees which will help in attaining ethical decision making and behaviour of employees. Additionally, it will help in successfully achievement of rules and regulations framed by company and governing bodies that are required to be followed by the staff members of Commonwealth Bank (Chowdhury, 2011). Similarly, in order to implement culture of ethics, managers needs to develop certain cultural ethics which are required to be followed by all the staff members along with CEO of Commonwealth Bank. Evaluation Code of conduct and culture of ethics method can be evaluated on the basis of outcomes from behaviour and attitude of employees towards their job roles. Furthermore, if the outcomes are not positive, training method can be altered and implemented again in Commonwealth till desired results are achieved. CONCLUSION From the above discussion, it can be concluded that work ethics training is very important to maintain rules and regulations among employees. Also, it helps in achieving more ethical behaviour and decision making for the staff members if organisation.
