Introduction
Computer can be stated as devices which can complete the task with respect to set of
programs. In the year 1940, the first fully electronic system was introduced that require a group
of people to handle (Furht & Ahson, 2016). At present, computer is considered to be an integral
part of the everyday life where people have taken it for granted. Computer aims to work by the
interaction between two that is hardware and software. In this, each generation is completely
defined by technological development which is needed for computer operation (Johnson,
Lukaszewski & Stone, 2016). This particular aspect has ultimately lead to more compressed,
dynamic, effective and inexpensive machine.
In the coming pages of the research paper, an analysis has been done with respect to
development and present trend with respect to system performance. In the paper, a list of aspect
has been discussed in brief like RSIC, pipelining, cache memory and virtual memory.
Discussion
RISC
RISC stands for reduced instruction set computer which is known to be a kind of
processor that comes up with minimum number of instruction. It can easily execute the
instruction at a fast rate because of the fact that instructions are simple to execute. RISC chips
need only few transistors that make it cheap to produce and design. RISC comes up with set of
instruction which has simple and basic instruction (Eiben & Smith, 2015). It has complex
instruction that needs to be produced. In this, many of the complex instruction can be easily
produced. Most of the given instructions are completed in one cycle which is needed for
