FASTFIT GYM BOOKING SYSTEM2 FASTFIT Gym Booking System Introduction Sometimes in business it is necessary to move to an online presence because of the technology enhancement and the increasing internet use by customers (Choudhari, 2017, p. 346). Currently, many people have little time to do body fitness and thus requires a platform where they can quickly find a gym when they get free time. The Need to Implement the System FASTFIT need to implement and online booking system in order to allow their registered member to schedule their workshops and facilitate new customers to check for available workshops convenient with their schedule (García-Mendoza and Jaimez-Gonzalez, 2017, p. 71). The increasing number of gym members at FASTFIT cannot be by phone calls because customers tend to get impatient when they are put on hold. This will tend to drive away new and loyal customers because of such inconvenience. Once the booking system is place customers will be notified of their workshop schedule and the gym administrator will be able to control all the booking aspects (Asenova, 2018). Implementing an online booking system doesn’t necessarily replace the traditional phone reservation systems because some members still prefer to make calls to book or confirm their workshop schedules. However, the new system makes the booking process more efficient and convenient. In the current world, the way customers book and make reservation has changed so that they just want to book by just a click of a button. The system will allow new and loyal members to make reservation and pay directly through the FASTFIT website make this process very easy and convenient for the customers. As such, members are given the freedom to choose the type of workout and schedules that fits their time. Benefits of Online Booking Every business wants to adopt systems and processes that bring profit and increases the revenue. Without the existence of an online system customers will have to rely on walk-ins and phone calls to book for their workshops. Nevertheless, with an existence of an online booking system in place for FASTFIT comes many benefits including:
FASTFIT GYM BOOKING SYSTEM3 The online booking system is available all the time 24/7 and gives the members and other new customers freedom to make reservations at any time increasing the number of members joining FASTFIT (Khadse, 2017, p. 111). Secondly, FASTFIT can be able to manage their booking hassle-free and would no longer be tied to the phones waiting for customer calls. This will increase the overall efficiency and performance of the gym employees. Additionally, the system will provide business analytics report here the business will be able to monitor the reservation trends and help FASTFIT adjust accordingly to the new trends and better understand your customers and their preferences. Another key benefit of the system is the ability to develop, post, promote, sell and promote gym packages online (Zongjiang, 2012, p. 1220). This will increase revenue generation while offering the workshops that the members actually want. Moreover, there will be a decrease in the number of no-turn up by members and in cases where the member does not actually turn up the system will free up the reservation and it can be filled by another customer. Also, the chances that the clients will turn up will increase because of the regular appointment reminders. Tracking of payments are is made easier because all the transactions are recorded. The money will be credited to the business account and you wouldn’t have to worry about money getting lost or misused (Rezobx, 2018). The workloads are greatly reduced by the online booking system and these platforms ensure that all reservations are synced and updated every time there is a free schedule. Project Scope The new system will entail an online booking system with a database to store all the reservation, payment details, secure network, and a web portal. Since FASTFIT already has a website in place where customers can only view the services bit cannot book as such this project will be involved in redesigning the website and adding booking forms, database, and payment API.
